The Suite In Bellagio Where Gucci Is The Complimentary Amenity

VegasChatter loves it some hotel toiletries. In fact, we've gone a whole year without needing to purchase soap, shampoo, or conditioner thanks to our 'free' hotel swag. But, there's toiletries that make you smell like an old lady and then there are amenities that make you smell like a million bucks. Or, at least like three digits.

In Bellagio's Chairman Suite, a sprawling two bedroom penthouse atop the resort's Spa Tower, guests don't just receive the normal personal grooming items we've all come to expect. No, when you're paying four figures (and upwards) a night for a stay, you can spritz yourself in all the Gucci you want. And, take it home with you, too.

Ooh, La, La! Prada, Gucci and YSL Now Open in Crystals

Just in time for (high-end) holiday shopping needs...

Three more luxe boutiques are now open for your (window) shopping pleasure at Crystals within CityCenter - Prada, Gucci and YSL. All three opened to guests within the last month or so with YSL being the most recent.

Since this isn't the first time on The Strip for any of these brands, we can't really get too excited about the openings other than the fact that they give us one more reason to just go to Crystals instead of driving up and down The Strip. (Another letdown - the fact that all three shops are in Bellagio, too, just one resort over.)

We've got to say, though, we're really loving the custom, brilliant gold exterior of Gucci (shown above). It's simply gorg.

Why You Don't Want to Eat Too Much When The Cosmopolitan Opens

October 20, 2010 at 4:39 PM | by | Comments (0)

All Saints is known for stocking their window displays with vintage sewing machines.

Because how else will you be able to go shopping? On the heels of its "wrong" TV ad, The Cosmopolitan, which has previously been hyping it restaurant cornucopia, has now announced a line-up of nine boutique shops which will occupy nearly 36,000-sq.ft. of retail space inside the casino resort.

They include: British brand AllSaints, Beckley women's wear, CRSVR (pronounced crossover) Sneaker Boutique, DNA2050 denim shop, DROOG conceptual design store, Molly Brown's Swimwear, Retrospecs & Co modern eyewear, Skins 62 Cosmetics and Stitched Stitched, a "lifestyle destination for gentlemen." All in all, this is a more eclectic collection of shops than you normally see in Vegas. No Gap or H&M to be found here. (But seriously, would it kill someone to put in a bookstore in one of these malls?)

Meanwhile, if you're looking for a more traditional luxury shopping experience with designer names you recognize, across the way at The Crystals, Prada and Gucci have finally opened their stores, nearly a year after The Crystals first debuted.

Non-Recession Question: How Many Louis Vuittons Are There in Las Vegas?

July 27, 2009 at 4:58 PM | by | Comments (0)

The Louis Vuitton store in Paris. The real Paris, not Paris Las Vegas.

Recently, we spent some time cruising the North end of the Strip--you know, where Wynn, Encore, The Palazzo, and the Venetian as well as the Fashion Show Mall all congregate and we found ourselves wondering just how many Louis Vuitton stores are there in Vegas. (Or in abbreviated form: how many LV stores in LV?)

This was a reasonable question, not because we were interested in buying LVs, but because it seems like we'd seen quite a few LV storefronts in just a short time. Well, it turns out there's only five Louis Vuitton stores in Vegas.

There's a stand-alone store at Fashion Show Mall, inside the Wynn and inside the Forum Shops. There's also LV boutiques inside Saks and Neiman Marcus in the mall. So just remember, if you win it big and you're all the way up at Mandalay Bay, you better hoof it down to Caesars to buy your LV prize.
