There are several places in Las Vegas where a visitor can go to shoot handguns, rifles and machine guns, just for the fun of it! Shooting is a exciting way to turn money into noise, that will leave you with your heart beating rapidly and your face smiling broadly.
But, what if you'd like to be trained in firearms to a higher level of skill? What if you're looking for an adventure activity to do on your vacation? Or, perhaps, you just want a longer break from the casino to shoot some cool guns? Did you know that there is a world class firearms training center outside of Las Vegas?

Las Vegas is a unique town and the Vegas Strip unlike anywhere else in the world. Once you step away from the casino (GASP!), you may notice that gun ranges are as common as wedding chapels. You’ll see almost as many signs to shoot guns as you will for DJs spinning at the various clubs. If you’re one of the many people looking to blow off some steam, literally, there’s a new shooting experience available.
Shoot Las Vegas, which bills itself as a mobil shooting range, says its high-caliber shooting experience focuses on entertainment as much as guns. The majority of the guns available have been seen in popular and award-winning movies and television shows, including “Dirty Harry,” “Pulp Fiction,” “Taxi Driver,” “Wyatt Earp,” “xXx,” and more. Each firearm is located next to a corresponding poster outlining movies it was featured in, specific make and model details, and the actors who used it. Shoot Las Vegas also features hard-to-find firearms like an Italian-made double-barrel 45, Tommy Guns and a Gatling Gun.

After getting the silent treatment from Beretta earlier this month, we can't say we didn't see this one coming.
Just over a week after we wondered just what was happening with plans to bring a Beretta gun range to the Shoppes of Palazzo, the Las Vegas Sun reports that it's all been scrapped. Last summer, Beretta had announced its intent to bring a multi-level gun range/store to The Strip by this month.
The Sun states that the permit application for the project has been withdrawn and relays that it got the cold shoulder from Beretta, too.
