We had a love/hate relationship with the show "Linemakers" last year. It was great to see that sports betting industry veterans had a TV show where they would offer betting advice. When we learned that the show was merely an infomercial for a betting service, we were upset for a minute until remembering how entertaining the show actually was.
During the last episode of the show (seen on Velocity a.k.a. Discovery Theater), host Brian Blessing mentioned that the series would be returning for a second season. Sports information junkies and sports gamblers were stoked.

On last week's episode, the guys of "The Linemakers" revealed that they were renewed for a second season. The first season will end a couple of days before the Super Bowl so if you haven't heard of it yet, you still have a few more episodes to check out. The exact dates for the next season haven't been announced, but it's expected to begin shortly before the 2012 football season.
In case you haven't been watching, "The Linemakers" is a weekly one-hour sports show on Discovery HD Theater featuring veteran sports book operators analyzing the economics of the sports wagering and fantasy sports industries. It takes place at the South Point Casino and Sports Book.
Linemakers, a behind-the-scenes look at the men and women who set the lines at sportsbooks, premiered late last Friday night on HD Theater.
The reality show is described as "veteran sports book operators analyzing the economics of the sports wagering and fantasy sports industries." There isn't much information available on the show beyond that, but from what we've been able to piece together from various message boards, it seems as if the first episode was a documentary style look into rudimentary sports betting for the masses with some scenes taking place at the South Point.
