Even in its inaugural year, tickets to the iHeartRadio Music Festival sold out in minutes. 10 minutes, to be exact. So, you know your game will need to be on point when tickets go on sale this Saturday, July 20 at 10 a.m. PST.
The giant two-day concert will once again return to MGM Grand for its third year September 20-21. Acts will include Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry, J. Cole, Elton John, Muse, TiŽsto, Chris Brown, Keith Urban, fun., Miguel, Bruno Mars, Phoenix, Zedd, Maroon 5, Tim McGraw, Ke$ha, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Benny Benassi, as well as a joint performance by Queen and Adam Lambert.
Speculation over the long-term use of the Luxor Festival continues, but we can confirm that the scaffolding on the grounds right now are, in fact, to support another Las Vegas taping of possibly the greatest athletic competition TV show ever, American Ninja Warrior. The Toughest Challenge On Earth filmed the season finale on the same grounds last year to name a champion of champions from the season's winners.
The show returns this weekend to put season five warriors from Los Angeles, Baltimore, Denver and Miami to the final test under the watch of hosts Matt Iseman and former NFL player Akbar Gbaja Biamila. ESPN's Jenn Brown rounds out the show's credits.

We've been so engrossed with
what's not happening at the SkyVue Las Vegas Super Wheel that, on a recent drive down Las Vegas Boulevard, we failed to see what's starting to occur next door. It took a recent article in the RJ by Vegas gossip Norm Clarke to make us stop craning our necks upward and swivel our heads to the north instead.
Above is a photo of the Luxor Festival Grounds; right now, a fancy name slapped onto what's basically a 15-acre parking lot across from everyone's favorite pryamid. Recently, though, MGM Resorts gained government approval to convert the area into true event space, for everything from concerts to food fests. You may already be familiar with the plot of land if you attended the 48 Hour Festival or Redbull Soundclash in years past. Scaffolding and rigging for a future event now can be seen amassing across the way in another vacant lot.
