How to Score Chippendales Tickets For No Money, Just A Slight Loss Of Dignity

Ladies and gents, are you in the mood to see the Chippendales but a bit embarrassed about handing over $55 to get your legs parted by a long-haired nipple-ringed douchebag sexpot?

Fear not, because one of our favorite Twitter accounts is that of the Chips. Not just because of the glorious nuggets of cheesy gossip it pumps out about the boys (today’s sample here), but also because every Friday, they give away free tickets to that night’s show.

It’s easy, too – all you have to do is RT the sentence “"I want to go to @Chippendales tonight at @RioVegas!”. And from the looks of it, it’s pretty easy to win – according to Twitter, at the time of writing, they tweeted today's offer 45 minutes ago, and someone only nabbed it 8 minutes ago.

A Day in the Life of a Chippendale (Plus What the Show's Actually Like)

It’s been nearly two weeks since we saw the Chippendales at their 3000th show, and now that we’ve had time to shrug off our mortification at being touched up and having nipple rings thrust in our face, we’re ready for the review.

Three things we should point out before we go: first, FYI, we saw the show along with other journos at the invitation of the Chips. Second, because of this, we saw it in less than ideal circumstances – ie sober, on our lonesome and therefore mortified at the idea that the rest of the audience would think we had gone to see the Chippendales by ourselves. Third, in our personal opinion, there’s nothing less sexy than someone thrusting their sexiness upon you. So we knew from the start that these dudes would not be our type.

Ohh Fabio! Harlequin Covers on Display at Paris Galerie

Las Vegas is known for sexy showgirls and go-go dancers in revealing outfits but if you're looking for sexy men, you have to resign yourself to cheesefests like Thunder from Down Under, Chippendale's, Men of X and the Sapphire boys. While all these shows act out a hero saving a damsel in distress, we're kinda more interested in the original male pin-ups, the dudes who graced the covers of pulsating (heh) women's fiction novels from Harlequin.

Right now at Paris Las Vegas in the hotel's Paris Galerie, an exhibition of original cover art from the Harlequin novels is on display called, "The Heart of a Woman" and unlike those male revues, the show is free. Here's a little bit about the exhibit:

Although it is the stories of romance that charm the hearts of so many women, it is the artwork on the book covers that offers the first tantalizing hint of the pleasures that await between the covers.

The show also spotlights some of the notable names who created these stirring pieces and how the artistic process itself has changed over the decades. More than a hundred original works of art will be displayed, from Harlequin’s beginnings in 1949 to the present day.

The exhibit was previously shown in New York and Toronto and The Globe and Mail reported that the works give you an inside look at the artists who were painting these covers. Surprisingly, they were all men. Get yourself to the Paris Galerie before January 31 to check it out.

The 'Men of X' Now Bringing The Ladies To Hooters

Now, when someone says, “Hooters,” it won’t just evoke thoughts of hot wings and girls wearing orange shorts and nude pantyhose. A new male revue, the Men of X, is now performing nightly inside Hooters to the delight and pleasure of countless female tourists.

That’s right, ladies, every night at 9 inside Hooters, formerly a place for men to drool over waitresses and wings (we can’t forget the wings), you can watch six studly men dress up as doctors, firemen, pilots and soldiers, among other things, and dance and tease with their choreography.
