PBR Rock Bar Is On Track To Open Soon (Phew)

We love rumors at VegasChatter (hint: the more scurrilous the better – email us please). But when they involve our bellies not being pleasured or our fun being stymied, we’re not so keen on them.
Which is why we were gutted when, on Saturday, we were told by a Miracle Mile spy that the PBR Rock Bar opening was being put on hold in order for them to open up a branch in Dallas. Gutted, we say! What would we do with ourselves all summer without any bulls to ride to the CityCenter skyline?

Vegas Already Hearts Foursquare
Over at HotelChatter, we're already obsessing over hotels that have begun offering rewards and incentives for guests via the newest little darling of the social media world, Foursquare. (For a little tutorial on Foursquare, go here.
But we've already noticed a huge presence in Las Vegas. Case in point? The Miracle Mile shops have started advertising their Foursquare promotions on their mega video screens. From this Flickr photo from the Foursquare co-founder, it says that Miracle Mile will give any "mayors" on Foursquare, will have their photo and their text shown live on the screen.

This Will Be Your Competition at the PBR Rock Bar
The PBR Rock Bar is not opening until the Summer but signage has gone up over the old Hawaiian Tropic Zone space as the interior renovations begin. And it is for REALZ that this place will be for cowboys, cowgirls and anyone who wants to bed a cowboy or cowgirl.

PBR Rockbar Gets a Website, Teases Us With Horns
You may be wondering, what the heck is PBR Rockbar? We're still not 100 percent sure. All we know is that it's taking over the space at the Hawaiian Tropic Zone in Planet Hollywood. But if this new website says anything it says Professional Bull Riders more than it does Pabst Blue Ribbon. Coming Summer 2010. Gilley's, you've been warned. In the meantime, does anyone have a mechanical bull we can practice on?

The PBR Rock Bar to Replace Hawaiian Tropic Zone
Is HTZ going from leis to spurs?
That was fast! Just a day after we learned that Hawaiian Tropic Zone was out at the Miracle Mile Shops comes word that PBR Rockbar will take its place. The very brief press announcement reads:
We are excited to announce that PBR Rock Bar, a restaurant and bar concept, will open inside Miracle Mile Shops Spring 2010. The lease has been executed and they will assume the space occupied by Hawaiian Tropic Zone which will close their doors on Sunday, February 21, 2010 to allow for the timely opening of PBR Rock Bar,” said Russell A. Joyner, executive vice president, general manager of Miracle Mile Shops.

What Vegas giveth, Vegas taketh away. With all the new openings going on at the moment, there have to be some closings as well. And the latest to bite the dust is Hawaiian Tropic Zone in Miracle Mile.
Daily Fiasco says the club has announced its sudden closure, and will be going out with a bang this Saturday, while Dave and Mahoney tweeted that Miracle Mile pulled the lease on the place.

Get Your Teeth Whitened on the Way To The Pleasure Pit
About to head out to Vegas for Valentine's Day Weekend but you've just noticed that your teeth are not as pearly white as you'd like them to be? Don't bother calling your dentist for last-minute, expensive teeth whitening appointment. Just head to the Miracle Mall Shops at Planet Hollywood.
Near the PH Towers entrance and the Ben and Jerry's is a Brite Impressions kiosk that does 20-minute teeth-brightening for $99. All you have to do is sit in one of these very public chairs with a gadget affixed on your teeth for 20 minutes. Then you can hit the nightclubs like a rock star later that night or impress the sexy lady dealers at PH's Pleasure Pit. Let's just hope your new teeth color plays nice with black lights.

Sugar Factory to Open on Friday, The Situation to Arrive on Sunday
We recently got a peek into the upcoming Sugar Factory that will be opening in the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood when a construction worker was leaving the spot on Sunday. And while it wasn't totally empty, it definitely wasn't stocked with all the goodies that Sugar Factory is known for, namely its Couture Pops, lollipops with rhinestone stems.
Yet word from Sugar Factory is that the candy shop will indeed open this Friday night with a grand opening celebration on Sunday afternoon, attended by none other than the "Jersey Shore's" very own Situation aka Mike Sorrentino.

Front Row Sports Wasted No Time with Saints Super Bowl Champions Gear
This is a picture that we snapped at approximately 9pm last night in the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood, a mere two hours after the New Orleans Saints won the Super Bowl. Not that it's a piece of fan gear that we would ever wear but still, hats off to Front Row Sports for a shockingly fast roll-out of Super Bowl championship gear. Also, this jacket is further proof The 90s are Back.

What Is the Stripper Bar?
Anyone know what this is? We came across it walking through Miracle Mile the other day, right next to the V Theatre.
We checked out the website, which led us to a holding page saying it’d be open in March, though we couldn’t hear any banging or see any “hot girls at work”. But we will keep watching.

Massive Sugar Factory Shop Coming to Planet Hollywood
UPDATE: Actually, there IS another Sugar Factory coming to Vegas inside Paris Las Vegas. That 15,000sq.ft. candy shop will open in the Fall.
In this item about feuding candy shop owners from the New York Post, we learned that a massive Sugar Factory is set to hit Paris Las Vegas later this year. Except the store location is a bit off.
It will in fact open in the Miracle Mile shops of Planet Hollywood and soon too. The Sugar Factory website says February 2010.
There's already a Sugar Factory inside The Mirage and it's not even a year old. But apparently, there's just not enough candy to satiate the Strip. And this new outpost is going to be huge--about 15,000-sq. ft. Apparently, it's made Dylan Lauren of Dylan's Candy bar so green with envy that she's considering opening up her own space in CityCenter.
With the popularity of candy shops and cupcakes stores on the Strip these days, are dentist offices going to be the next hot thing?
