The Hard Rock's Paradise Tower Disappoints a Longtime Hard Rock Devotee
It officially opened almost a month ago (July 31), so we thought we’d check in on what the rest of you have to say about the Hard Rock’s new Paradise Tower rooms.
There’s not much yet posted on TripAdvisor to report about the new rooms. But here’s one perspective from a longtime HRH devotee who stayed at the Paradise Tower soon after its opening:
The room was small, the shower was designed so bad that I was shocked at how hard I had to work to get in the thing and get the water turned on. Back in the day when Peter owned the place they understood customer service, those days are over. I am a 23 year music industry vet. I can tell you that the hip kids are staying at the Wynn.
Ouch.

Last Minute Hotel Rates at The Hard Rock Hotel

We're sure many of you plan out your Vegas trips way in advance but we've always gotta leave room for the folks who decide on a whim to head out to Sin City in search of luck, love, money and good times. Every so often, we'll check in on last minute rates at hotels in town and see how much they are going for--whether you phone in a rezzie, book it online through the hotel or hit up another travel booking site.
Today, we're scoping out Hard Rock. We were able to snag a low(ish) rate of $99 for their new Paradise Tower but that was on a Monday night. Let's see how the weekend rates look.

Almost Paradise: Inside the Hard Rock's Paradise Tower
We recently spent a night at the new Paradise Tower at the Hard Rock Hotel and despite being in love with the newness of the rooms, the rest of the Hard Rock experience is still lacking--unless you're just there to get absolutely wrecked at Rehab, the raunchy Sunday pool party. Then you'll find yourself surrounded by plenty of people with the same plan.
We wrote about the stay over on HotelChatter and we'll recap some of the highlights for you here.

Vegas Needs to 'Just Say No' to Kevin Federline

The Hard Rock's Paradise Tower has officially opened this week and we're dying to get inside there. While we won't be able to sleep on the faux fur blankets for another week, we're a little dismayed to hear that Kevin Federline has already shacked up in the joint with his new girlfriend and a camera crew from VH1. Yup, that's right. K-Fed is getting a reality show.
If Kevin sullying up the white sheets at the Paradise Tower and getting paid to film his pointless life wasn't bad enough, it turns out K-Fed is the worst Vegas Visitor ever. Apparently K-Fed doesn't have the decency to tip hard-working staffers in an already-depressed economy, even though he was comped when he hit up Wasted Space.

The Hard Rock's Paradise Tower Will Open This Weekend

UPDATE: A hotel rep tells us, "The Tower officially opens July 30th but travelers are currently staying there and able to book rooms now." If you're on the Hard Rock property this week, try and book one of the new rooms!
The new Paradise Tower at the Hard Rock Hotel will be opening this weekend, about a week ahead of schedule. The new tower's opening date has always been listed as August 2009 but it looks like starting on Friday night guests will be checking out the new rooms (about 490 of them) for the first time.
We'll be getting some more detes on the new tower in a bit but we just wanted to hit you up with the rate information first. A mountain view king room at the Paradise Tower was open but only for Friday night at $309 a night. Saturday night was sold-out. Sunday night, however, dipped down to $165. A pool view king was going for a hefty $399 a night on Friday.
