We told you about our first time... visiting Vegas, that is. And, some of you have told us about yours. Now it's time for another of VegasChatter's writers, who pens stories under Jproz, to tell us about his.
My first visit to Vegas was doomed to be an absolute gong show and disaster from the minute we departed! First off, this trip was orchestrated as my birthday celebration and involved about 14 people. We found a discounted trip out of an airport about 4.5 hours from home and decided to take it. (Home is Canada.) The problem was that the flight left at 6 a.m. so midnight found us all piling into cars and fleeing from our better judgement. Oh, and did I mention we were all virgins?

We told you about our first time... visiting Vegas, that is. And, some of you have told us about yours. Now it's time for one of VegasChatter's newest writers, who pens stories under Wake and Wander, to tell us about his.
My first visit to Vegas suffered the metaphorical equivalent of a flight delay. I found myself waiting in the lobby of The Mirage for 45 minutes, suitcase at my side, until my friend "found his phone" and returned my call. When I finally got the room number and met him upstairs, he could barely stand up. The room reeked of rum and Coke, cologne, and the steam of a hot iron. Clothes were all over, suitcases in every corner. I saw that the space under the desk was vacant so I slid in my suitcase. I turned to the dresser and saw the bottles of booze. This wasn’t just any hotel room – this was a Vegas hotel room, for sure.

A lot of new sh*t opens and lot of old sh*t closes each month in Las Vegas. Sometimes even new sh*t closes. There are so many openings and closings even your favorite know-it-alls had to start keeping track. Seriously, did you see how much sh*t happened last month?
Sometimes when we're wrapping up the comings and goings around town we stop to think wow, that's still open? Some revelations are pleasant surprises while others seem to break every law of economics and common sense we ever did learnt. Time to get in our head and discover which spots we're surprised are still open:

Time for another VegasChatter Question! This time, we're here to attend to a VC member who's found themselves in quite a pickle. Do you have a question about Vegas? Send it to us and if we deem it clean enough, we'll post it here on VegasChatter!
Halloween is almost here and in Vegas that's a whole lotta frightful fun, a few unexpected horrors and, our favorite, slutty ghouls. The best parties of the year (outside of New Year's Eve) are on the verge of happening and we. can't. wait!
VegasChatter fan Amy P. knows just how we feel. She wrote us a desperate plea for help as the clock ticks ever closer:

This could be you. Not the famous rapper with the mic, the faceless crowd. And, this could just be one of seven stops for you. In one night. If you think that's more hassle than it's worth, VegasChatter's club kid Brandy Alxander tells us how we can report to seven floors for just one low price... and if it's really worth it.
Caesars Entertainment, the same company that brought us the Buffet of Shows, the Buffet of Buffets and the Pool of Pools, now brings us the All Night Pass, what Caesars’ Pulse of Vegas Blog describes as “a way to ‘cut through the velvet rope’ with a one-night, one-price, all-access pass to seven of the hottest nightclubs in Sin City.”
The pass is valid from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. (on Sundays through Thursdays only), but since clubs really only operate from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m., you can do all the dancing in the dark you want for about 6 hours. The seven venues include: Pure at Caesars Palace, Chateau at Paris, Gallery at Planet Hollywood, the Pussycat Dolls Burlesque Saloon also at PH, Carnaval Court at Harrah's and Crown and VooDoo, both at Rio.

Everyone wants to be up in the club in Vegas, but if you think the weekends are the only time to hit them, you're missing out. VegasChatter's Club Kid BrandyAlxander is back to tell us why that next Vegas vacation should be Monday through Thursday.
Weekends - when hotel rates and crowds are at their worst. It’s also when some of the best entertainment is scheduled, but brave the crowds and cover prices at your own risk. We bargain, er smart, party travelers know better and go out mid-week for cheaper, faster and more attentive service.
Personally, I only like to go out on The Strip during the week. Besides, my generous hook-ups can’t comp me a table on weekends, and really there’s no point in going to a club if you don’t have a table. I make exceptions, though, for my rookie friends who come to visit from out of town over the weekend, bless their hearts.
It’s once we’re in the club on a Saturday night that they immediately regret their decision. We’re packed in there like sweaty, scantily clad sardines and no matter how much we flip our hair and flash our
cleavage smiles, we’re no match for the prostitutes models and their high rollers who’ve got the bartender’s attention.

Here's news to make you fist pump with glee -- over the next few weeks, almost all of the Jersey Shore cast will be up in the club in Vegas. Deena, Sammi, The Situation, Pauly D, Snooki and JWOWW will all be party rockin' up and down The Strip. So, catch up on your GTL, throw on your best T-shirt, call up a cab and head to these clubs for a blast in a glass:

As usual, a field of 64 will be competing for their share of a prize pool totaling $1.8 million, with the winner taking home $750,000. In 2010, Annie Duke defeated Erik Seidel in the final round to earn $500,000 and the title. Other notables scheduled to appear in this year’s event include Vanessa Rousso, Phil Ivey, Andy Bloch, Doyle Brunson, Chris Ferguson, Daniel Negreanu, Huck Seed, Paul Wasicka, Erik Seidel and 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event champion Jonathan Duhamel.

And, now, for New Year's Eve's less-than-spectacular moments...
While The Cosmopolitan wined, dined and bedded stars galore, there were some other celeb-hosted NYE parties of note. But, instead of making us gush like giddy Justin Biebs fans (which we're not, what do you mean we're protesting too much?), these famewhores had us scratching our heads in WTF wonder. Here's why:

It’s only three days away from New Year’s Eve now and things are hotting up – just yesterday we walked past Jet and saw a lonely man sitting at a desk in the middle of the afternoon trying (unsuccessfully, yesterday afternoon) to shift tickets for B.O.B. (the music one, not that one).
If you haven’t decided where to go yet, know that Ludacris (slightly better than B.O.B, possibly) is going to be hosting at Vanity. Tickets cost $150 and includes an open bar from 9pm-midnight. Then on 1 January, Jason Derulo is taking over.

The only girl in the world is about to get loud In Vegas.
Well get ready, folks. While we already gave you a few ideas on how to spend big on NYE, this event should definitely be added to the list.
When the oh-so-sexy Rihanna shows up at PURE Nightclub at Caesars Palace on the evening of December 31, you'll need to fork over at least $2,000 to snag a table. Yes, we said "at least." $2,000 is quoted as the starting price so don't expect prime seating for that paltry amount.
Also, for now, don't expect a song or two, either. Rihanna isn't scheduled to perform, just to
be seen host.
Sangria kills slowly?
In last week's news about the acquisition of Pure Management Group by Angel Management Group we read something that we refused to believe was true. We decided to sleep on it and see if it was still there when we woke up after the weekend. Sadly, it was. Here is our
wish come true nightmare:
Christian Audigier at Treasure Island has closed. Just as we were ready to give it another chance! There goes our Ed Hardy Drinking Game championship location! (The LV Sun's Amanda Finnegan also confirmed the closing for us this afternoon.)
The club was launched and operated by Pure* but has been struggling for a while. Things may have gotten bleaker for Audigier after TI changed ownership and started going after a more "Middle America" crowd (i.e. ditching trendy Social House in favor or Gilley's Saloon.)
So does this mean Christian Audigier/Ed Hardy is on its way out in Vegas?
