The D Isn't Finished Switching Things Up

It was our best reopening of 2012, but it appears that the D is still trying to get the F out.
Earlier this month, the hotel's Courtyard Grill morphed into D Grill, a remodeled 24/7 casual cafe just off the second floor casino. The D promises that everything on the menu is made "completely from scratch using only fresh, never frozen ingredients."

Lots of changes on the horizon for the Las Vegas entertainment scene, from another laugh residency to new showrooms for old names.
First up, the next big residency wars won't be country, but comedy. As we've reported, Roseanne will yuk it up over at Trop's Laugh Factory starting next week. Now, there's another big comedic residency to report. Political commentator Bill Maher has signed a four-weekend run at the Palms' Pearl Theater. His appearances will be spread out over a nine-month period, starting March 23 and ending November 3. Tickets will begin at $45 bucks.

There Will Be No More Raackin' and Rollin' at Hooters

So much for business as usual.
Just days before new owners take over and just weeks after we were reassured that "everything would be just the same" comes word that change is already underway at Hooters.
VegasChatter friend @George_Addams on Twitter tipped us off to the imminent closure of Hooters' topless revue, Raack n' Roll:
