Two Of Our Fave Bars On The Strip
Everyone’s tastes are different, especially when asked for opinions on the must-see bars in Vegas. With that in mind, we thought it would be good to get out in front of this frequently asked question with a new segment called Sip or Pour.
"Sip" will provide a guide to bars with the tastiest drinks, and most talented bartenders around, where you can chill with a great cocktail and a little ambiance. "Pour" will give you the lowdown on some of the most happening bars, places to get hammered your groove on, party the night away, and ensure you wake up with the true Vegas hangover experience. Without further delay, here are our first two picks:

Red Square To Reopen In A Week
The vodka will soon be flowing again at Red Square inside Mandalay Bay.
A walk by the recently shuttered bar-slash-restaurant revealed that a quickie renovation isn't being kept too tightly under wraps. The door was wide open and nothing covered the windows, either. When we pressed our nose up to the glass strolled by, a lone employee worked on the flooring. A sea of red still reigned inside.

Citizens, Revamped Red Square Coming To Mandalay Bay
Red, White and Blue's days are officially numbered at Mandalay Bay.
The Light Group confirms that it will close on November 18 to make way for a new casual American bistro concept by its go-to chef Brian Massie dubbed Senior Citizens Kitchen & Bar. The re-tooled space will still serve up three square meals when it reopens. (Update: Citizens will be open 24 hours a day.)
Back in August, the buzz was that two other Mandalay restos would also close on that date, China Grill and Red Square. That may not happen in one fell swoop anymore (Light Group is only committing right now to the November 18 date for Red, White and Blue), but new details are coming to light (hee) on what exactly will happen to Red Square.

A Trio of Mandalay Bay Restos May Be Set For Closure
The Delano is set to take over THEhotel late next year, but changes (it seems) will start to occur at Mandalay Bay before the year's out.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal is reporting, err, reports by "restaurant employees" that the resort's Red Square, China Grill and Red, White and Blue will shutter November 18. The newspaper spoke to an executive of China Grill Management (operator of the restos) who relayed that The Delano has "acquired the leases" to all three dining venues, but that they "will continue to be operated under those brands until" that date. Which could mean closures, but really means we're just going to have to wait and see.

First VegasChatter Meet-Up Was Well-Lubricated, Thanks to Veev and Intimacy Kits
Thanks to all who came out for the first-ever VegasChatter Meet-Up which was held last night Red Square at Mandalay Bay and which was well-lubricated thanks to the folks from Veev!
We had a great time meeting some of our readers, tipsters and Vegas locals alike. Sipping on the Veev Spa Coolers, Brazilian Mules and Sangria as well as popping into the ice bar to "rub" Lenin's head made it all the more special. But little did we know those $2.50 intimacy kits we bought from the Mandalay Bay Logo shop and tweeted about would become the hit of the part-ay! At least we can rest assured that no one got knocked up while at our meet-up. Maybe next time!
Speaking of next time, we're definitely doing this again. Suggestions on where to hold the next event are appreciated! Until then, a big thanks again to everyone who made it out and to Red Square and Veev for making this night possible!
