The Trop Wants You To Party Hard: 10 Days For $999
Ooh, the Trop is going from strength to strength at the moment and it keeps pumping out awesome deals. In fact, we kinda wish the renovations would never end, as we’re pretty sure they’ll raise the rates once the works are completed.
The latest deal they’re offering is something we’ve never seen before: the Trop Party Pass, bookable from now until September 14. You pay $999 plus tax up front, and in return you get 10 nights in a revamped, Strip-view room – $9.99 resort fee included - plus a VIP check in.
You don’t have to spend the 10 nights consecutively, and you don’t have to stick to one room, either – you can use your allowance up over multiple rooms (hence they’re selling it as a bachelor party/girly weekend deal). Best of all, there are no black out dates - you simply have to use it up by December 28.

The Revamped Alexis Park Has New Rooms and Low Prices
The Rumor may have been garnering all the attention lately, but it looks like that’s not the only thing that’s been going under the knife down on Harmon – the Alexis Park is talking about its own extreme makeover on its Twitter account. And, dare we say it, it looks rather nice.
We always had the AP down as a bit grotters, but now we’re rethinking our stance. First up, it has a blog. Second, it trumpets the fact that it’s LGBT friendly, and that we love.
And third, these new rooms – or suites, rather – look pretty decent. They’re not as sexy as the Rumor, of course, and they’re unlikely to win any prizes for design (also the bedroom parts of the suites look pretty small), but they look bright and breezy and, most importantly, clean – see the gallery here.

Room Rates for Labor Day Weekend Still Totally Doable

What would you rather--newer rooms at PH Towers or old ones for more money at Planet Hollywood?
We told you a few weeks ago that room rates Labor Day Weekend would start to get jacked up closer to the date but we're still waiting for the big increase. Which is good news for Vegas visitors!
Looking at our old standby Expedia.com the tried and true budget hotels (Luxor, Sahara, Imperial) are keeping their rates about $100 a night. Even Paris is holding steady around $150 a night. Things creep up at the Palazzo to about $250 a night which is also the same going rate for Vdara (don't forget those resort fees!) Caesars is about $270 a night while Wynn has the rest beat, averaging $352 a night.

Labor Day Rates for the Big Hitters Could Be Worse
Venice for Labor Day. How very unpatriotic
Last week we concentrated on cheap and midrate hotels for Labor Day. Today we’re feeling flush, so we thought we’d check out the big boys.
Wynn is averaging as a minimum of $339 over the weekend, while the cheapest you’ll do at Encore is $386.
You can stay all three days at the Venetian for $837 ($229 Friday, $349 Saturday, $259 Sunday).

Cheap Vegas is Still Relatively Affordable For Labor Day (So Far)
Yours for $48 on a Friday night, courtesy of the Sahara
Yesterday we took a quick look at midrate hotels for Labor Day, and today we had a trawl for the cheap ones. Specifically, our five top cheap ones. Here’s what they’re going for:

Rooms are Reasonable for Labor Day Weekend (But Book Now)

Pick a seat, any seat! (because you might not be able to do that on Labor Day Weekend.)
We're coming up on one of the biggest weekends in Sin City--Labor Day Weekend and so far, room rates are looking rather reasonable...for now.
Doing a quick look at the strip hotels on Expedia.com we saw Paris Las Vegas for $153 a night (and remember, no resort fees) as well as the sexy new Tropicana Las Vegas for $119 a night. However, if you want one last chance for summer sex fun in the pool at the Hard Rock, rooms there are already creeping up to $251 a night.
Meanwhile, the Trump Las Vegas might be a good spot if you're going with a group. Their one-bedroom suite with a pull-out couch, kitchen and a 4pm late check-out is averaging $195 a night. A regular city view studio suite is just $125 a night. (But remember, there's no gaming on site.)

The Cosmopolitan Rooms Holding Steady at $300 on Opening Night (But Just Wait a Week)

As we write this, the marquee at The Cosmopolitan is getting ready to be lit up! Stay tuned tomorrow when we have pics or follow us NOW on Twitter!
It's only August but we're wishing December would hurry up and get here fast. The Cosmopolitan is still set to open on December 15 and rooms start at a hefty $300 a night for a Terrace Studio suite. Hopefully, those rates will come down a touch as we get closer to opening day but if you still want to save a few pennies, here's a new tactic for Vegas--visit on opening weekend.
December 15th falls on a Wednesday and rates drop to $275 that Friday and Saturday. Still want to save more money? Go the following week when rates drop further to $175 a night. (They creep back up to $225 for Christmas weekend.)

The Five Best Budget Hotel Rooms In Vegas
Sometimes, appearances can be deceptive. When it comes to the rooms, that is. Not the casino. Shudder.
Reader Santony may not agree with this, but we at VegasChatter are all about the bargains. But how do you tell if dealz really are dealz? How to differentiate between a $27 room at Excalibur and a $25 gaffe at Imperial Palace? Should you write off Hooters for being Hooters? And are the Rio “suites” actually places you’d want to set foot in?
Reader, we share your pain, and not just because on our first trip to Vegas we ended up at the Stratosphere. The other week, we were watching the poor souls making their way around IP when we shacked up in the room of hell, and it made us think: wow, if you didn’t know Vegas too well, you’d think that all cheap rooms in this town came with grimy mirrored ceilings and suicidal impulses on the side.
So to save you from popping into CVS for some razor blades, here’s our list of top budget hotel rooms in Vegas. We've shacked up in a lot of dross in order to sift out some goodies. You’re welcome.

Mandalay Bay's New Deal Will Leave Your Wallet and Your Stomach Heavier
We personally haven’t been able to touch a buffet since our epic seven in 24 hours stint a couple of months back, but we understand that those of you who aren’t similarly scarred are fond of the old all you can eat. So you might be interested in the latest deal from Mandalay Bay.
Stay two nights and as well as your room, the All Day Buffet package gives you two all day buffet passes to fill your little tummies with. Even better, the rates advertised are from $65 for Mandalay Bay, and $85 for THEhotel.
Obviously those rates are too much to hope for. Looking at availability this morning, there are a fair few $86 rates at Mandalay in August and a couple of $70s in September, but to get a $66 deal, you’ll have to wait till November 21.
As for THEhotel, there are a few $100 rates scattered through August (nice!) and some $96s in September. You can score a $90 room for October 31 or your $86 on 21 November.

Free Airfare to Stay at Luxor? We're Not Sure It's Worth It
Last time we heard about Luxor offering free stuff to get people to stay there, we thought we’d been scammed, so we were more than a little suspicious when an email telling us to ”fly back free” popped into our inbox.
It is, of course, a little complicated. Basically, you have to book this offer, stay at Luxor and you’ll then qualify for a voucher for a plane fare for your next visit – which, again, you must spend at Luxor.
There’s also plenty of small print but basically, the voucher gets you a roundtrip ticket from “any major airport in the Continental US” to Vegas.

Bellagio Is Playing it Cool With $129 Room Rates
Yesterday, as we were coming back from a little Vegas-style vacation to New York, we met a taxi driver who’d just returned from a week at the Bellagio, and rhapsodized about the place as if his life depended on it. So as soon as we got back, the first thing we did was to see how the rates are doing over there at the moment.
And the answer appears to be: not too bad. Although they don’t have any special deals or discounts going at the moment, they do have special online rates – cheaper than the standard prices you get booking online.
You access the rates by signing up for their special offers emails (go to the “exclusive web offers” page on the website), and straightaway it’ll knock down the price of the room. By how much depends on the price in the first place – so you can get a $159 room (the cheapest standard rate in July) for $129, while a $179 room on 1 August becomes $139. For the Bellagio? Sounds pretty fine to us.
According to the blurb on the website, the special rates are only available Sunday through Thursday, but from what we can see, the discounts apply on weekends as well. There are blackout dates though – the last two weekends in July and then 15-19 August for starters.
And don’t forget the best thing – as of yet, there’s still no resort fee at the Bellagio - at least, there isn't for now. Which gives you $20 to waste on some posh slots.

The Rumor Tells You to BOGOF For Its Opening
Our new hotel world may have been revolving around The Cosmo recently, but we haven’t forgotten that the Rumor is opening imminently - and now the time has come: it opens Thursday.
According to the website we should be expecting:
Hot location, cool pool, zero attitude, modern suites and unexpected amenities
Sounds nice, and it’s looking nice from the pics too. We like the idea of the hammocks by the pool, especially. What a nice contrast to its neighbor Hard Rock.
It’s got a pretty sweet (or suite, seeing as it’s an all-suite hotel) opening deal, too – book a night’s stay before August 31 and get a second one free. You just need to book before July 31, so you can wait for our report on what it’s like and then hit it up – you’ll need to quote code SWA1 or WEB1 if you’re booking online.
