Vegas Goes (Even More) International

February 21, 2012 at 3:29 PM | by | ()

Soon, when you tell someone you're going to Bellagio, you'll have to clarify which one. Same goes for SKYLOFTS, too. And, you'll have to specify even more than Vegas, Detroit or Macau when it comes to MGM Grand.

Today, MGM Hospitality, the non-gaming arm of the MGM Resorts you already know, announced that the Bellagio brand is coming to Shanghai. The luxury and, yes, non-gaming, resort will be a partnership between the already joint venture, Diaoyutai MGM Hospitality Limited and Suning Real Estate.

Skylofts at MGM Now Slightly More Affordable

Where: 3799 Las Vegas Blvd S [map], 89109
October 16, 2009 at 4:30 PM | by | ()

The Skylofts at MGM Grand are one of the sweetest suites on the Strip. They are comparable with the Wynn Tower Suites and with the new suites atop Hotel32 at The Monte Carlo. But staying in one of these suites usually means emptying your bank account or being a sycophant of extreme douchebag proportions to someone you hardly like but has a ton of money. Make sense?

But DealBase.com just alerted us to this awesome deal that not only gets you the suites for less but throws in some perks as well.

Now don't get too excited. This is still an expensive hotel room and you got to be there on the right dates. The new deal will get you that room as low as $600 a night for a 1-bedroom suite when it's previously gone for well over $1,000. You will also get a $50 in-Loft dining credit daily, daily free gym access and $100 spa credit per stay.

OK, admit it. When you stay at a hotel with bath products you like, you totally raid the housekeeping carts. Nowadays, at least at a number of Las Vegas hotels, instead of breaking the law, you can go about procuring your favorite soaps and shampoos on the level: by buying them.

Many properties—especially those which have partnered with high-end vendors to create signature brands—sell larger versions of their in-room bath products at spas and on-site gift shops. Prices range from $9.99 to $23.99. Here’s a closer look at the highlights of Sin City’s signature bath products, and a rundown on where you can go to purchase some of the goodies to enjoy at home.

Shhh! We’re going to let you in on a little secret. Several of the Las Vegas hotels you know and love (and that we've written about here on VegasChatter) have separate facilities – an über-exclusive hotel within a hotel, if you will – that pony up private check-in, super-charged personal service, and amenities on steroids.

Wanna see Mamma Mia on a moments notice? Snag a highly-coveted reservation at Daniel Boulud Brasserie? Stay in smoke-free, non-gaming luxury? These high-end accommodations grant guests endless touches of cosseting, making couples wonder how they ever survived staying amongst the Hotels.com crowd.

Here are three of our favorite places to make the most of Sin City...in complete on-your-terms style.
