In November we told you that Caesars Entertainment properties in Vegas would stop offering Total Rewards points by checking in on Foursquare via Top Guest. Back then, we wondered why Caesars would stop rewarding mentions in social media and what they might do moving forward, since they've been so aggressive marketing Vegas in the past couple years:
The Las Vegas hotels don't tend to be much of an original bunch when it comes to marketing so if Caesars looks to partner with an outside company, we have to expect that they will have Social Rewards join their marketing team. Social Rewards has been working with Palms, Palazzo, Venetian and, most notably, Luxor who seem to be the most aggressive with the program.

Top Guest linked with our Total Rewards account to give us 50 rewards points each time we used Foursquare to check into a Caesars property. We also have Top Guest linked with some of our other memberships programs. Why not get bonus points for something we do, anyway? Since we linked Total Rewards with Top Guest we haven't returned to their website, but this morning we noticed that Top Guest is now offering 500 MLife tier credits for checking in.
Caesars will use the platform to reward visitors at nine of the company’s locations, including Caesars Palace, Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino and Paris Las Vegas, with Total Rewards Bonus Rewards credits when they check in via Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, Instagram and Gowalla on their mobile devices.
To activate the program, members of Caesars Entertainment Total Rewards have to go to TopGuest.com via their mobile web browser and click to become a member. Guests will get 50 Total Rewards credits for every checkin on one of those social media platforms. Participants who check in between now and May 9 will be entered to win 500 Bonus Reward Credits.

In just over a week, The Cosmopolitan will hand over its title of newest Vegas resort to Ravella. Even though, technically, the resort is about 40-minutes away from The Strip in Lake Las Vegas. (Unless, you're driving with @VegasChatter follower @susaninvegas who says she can make it in 20. And, we believe her.)
The former Ritz-Carlton property is revving up for its second act as a Dolce resort by offering a flurry of pre-opening specials. The latest involves turning future guests into social sales reps. Tweet up Ravella (or post about them on Facebook) and the more your friends book a stay, the more "rewards" you'll gain.

The latest news is that they've teamed up with Social Rewards which will allow guests and visitors who go around tootin' The Palms' horn on various social media platforms, to earn points for their cheerleading. Or in other words:
