The cover of the 2013 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue has been released, and once again Kate Upton is gracing it.
It's hard to call going with Kate for a second year a cop-out given her curves and cult-like following. She's the first to appear on back-to-back covers since Tyra Banks in 1996 and 1997. She looks pretty damn hot in those arctic conditions, but we'll leave the polar play on words to the SI headline writers.
The magazine will be on newsstands tomorrow, but you can see Kate and nine other swimsuit models tonight on David Letterman. He will "unveil" the cover, however -- since you've already seen it -- you might have other viewing interests. Remember, this issue will feature a bikini battle between its swimsuit models and our Las Vegas showgirls. You can check out all the Vegas showgirls after Dave's show right here.
Never one to miss out on a scoop involving hot ladies, Robin Leach has the itinerary for the SI swimsuit models' scantily-clad roadshow in Vegas for Wednesday, February 13 and Thursday, Valentine's Day:

VegasChatter's newest contributor is Will McGough or Wake and Wander, a writer who spends every waking moment wandering. (See what happened there?) For his first assignment, we threw him right into the deep end and he went, willingly, to report on swimsuit models, showgirls and Vegas.
We’re going to be hard pressed to find someone giving a greater gift to men-kind this holiday season. It’s been announced that the Sports Illustrated annual swimsuit issue in February will feature a blockbuster bikini battle between its swimsuit models and our Las Vegas showgirls.
Christmas, it appears, has indeed come early.

Las Vegas continues to debut its first Beauties & Beats Music Festival today, with lots more music and the added bonus of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit models popping up, seemingly everywhere, around town. We enthusiastically previewed the event yesterday and have returned with our in-depth review.
Impeccably run, these events will allow you to get real close to the stars of the magazine and jump around to some up-and-coming bands in The Cosmopolitan's great venues. It's not rocket science, folks. Stunning women plus musicians rocking hard to take advantage of this valuable showcase. And, all events are free.
Like the arrival of Spring cherry blossoms, or the swallows of Capistrano, this year's Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue finally drifts upon us. But, if you find staring at the models just isn't enough, over the next two days The Cosmopolitan and the Las Vegas Strip host the first Beauties & Beats Music Festival to help overstimulate your senses.
Part of a vigorous roll-out of events to promote the latest Swimsuit edition, 17 "up-and-coming artists" will be performing for free in a two-day jam festival and they promise the models "will be stage-side at all performances." Even if you miss the gigs, there are plenty of opportunities to get autographs or at least a blurry iPhone photo of the latest supermodel.

Vegas pool season is still a month or more away, but really sexy swimwear models are about to distract us from that teensy factoid.
Yes, it's that time of year again when lucky Vegas visitors find out that they're in town at the same time as the sultry gals of Sports Illustrated's swimwear edition. And, that they can
stalk see them for free. That includes this year's gorg cover girl, Russian model Irina Shayk (pictured above, look higher, and apparently that's her "jet-lagged").
If you want to catch these beautiful girls (well, catch up with them because we can't vouch for what will happen if you actually touch one), here's where and when you can take lots of "fan" pictures and ask for some vague autographs that just might "accidentally" turn up on eBay:
●Tomorrow, February 16
Noon - 2 p.m.
STK at The Cosmopolitan
Watch models smile seductively in front of plates of food
3 p.m. - 5 p.m.
Diablo's Cantina at Monte Carlo
See models oohh and ahhh over the Jabbawockeez
Cheer up, Bar. You may not be cover girl, but you’re still fit.
Is there trouble in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2010 land? We ask because at the red carpet for their party at Vanity last night, the models – all body conned up to the eyeballs - looked rather different than they did the night before.
Bar Refaeli turned up with a face like thunder (although we should be grateful she turned up at all, given that she’s been a no show so far. When the photographer to our left told her we’d missed her, she shrugged and said “I was sick”. Wish we looked that good when we were sick.)
The ladies of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2010 edition marked a heavy day of looking beautiful in Vegas with a private party at Jet last night. But before they let loose, they had to stroll up the red carpet for us.
We'll let the pics speak for themselves. As we predicted earlier, we liked Anne V, who seemed lovely. Christine Teigen seemed fun (if she hadn’t made it as a model, we’d like to see her on Girls Gone Wild, Hilary Rhoda still came off as a bitch, and Bar Refaeli was nowhere to be seen.
Neve Campbell lookalike Zoe Duchesne was our surprise favourite – she seemed lovely, fun, and had a nice little touch of insecurity (“you should photograph the back of my dress, it’s much nicer than the front”).
Brooklyn Decker? Perfect. Sigh.
So yeah, we spent the morning hanging out with the hot ladies of Sports Illustrated at the launch of the 2010 Swimsuit Issue at the Mirage.
Not much to report, apart from Mayor Goodman was seen clinging tightly to Brooklyn Decker and Anne V (we're pretty sure that's her in the tight black dress), cover girl Brooklyn seemed shy but sweet, and Hilary Rhoda looked like a hot bitch (note to Hilary's
lawyers people - we're sure she's not really, but she should probably stop scowling the minute the cameras switch off).
The smiliest, nicest looking of the models? Anne V. Which is why we feel mean reporting that we're also pretty sure she could do with shaving her legs a little better. Sorry Anne.
Anyway, this one's it's all about the pictures. Enjoy.
What are we going to be doing tomorrow? Oh, you know. Just hanging out with some sexy ladies. The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue girlies are coming to town for the next three days for the Vegas launch, and there’s going to be puh-lenty of opportunities for some face time with the models, including covergirl Brooklyn Decker before they leave at noon on Friday. Here are the events we know about so far; we’ll be adding to this as we find out more.
