Well, if you can believe it, it's almost March already. Almost time for March Madness and pool season, and in another month, we'll be on the verge of spring. So, let's celebrate, yeah? Every
drinker's Irishman's favorite day of the year is coming up on March 17. We checked in to see what rates are looking like for the next big party weekend in Vegas.
Our price points below are based on the best available rate if you check in on Friday, March 15 and check out the morning of Monday, March 18th. We highlighted properties that have things happening for St. Patty's, as well as a few perennial faves.
Rates will fluctuate depending upon room availability and length of stay. For example, you can get a Luxury Suite at the Venetian for $169 the night of March 17, but if you arrive on Friday and stay until Monday, there are no Luxury Suites available. You'll have to pay a bit more for the Luxury View Suite at $209 per night. So, keep that in mind when playing around with the dates.

With New Year's Eve a distant memory (or coming up for real go-getters) and the Mardi Gras hangover starting to clear, VegasChatter has started to field more St. Patrick's Day queries. The answers are more important this year than perhaps any prior as displaced O'Sheas and Fitzgeralds loyalists look for a new place to revel in Irish green.
Below are our 2013 Irish and non-Irish suggestions in the post O'Fitz era. Note that many spots, especially the Irish bars, will charge a cover or sell tickets. Call ahead if there's any doubt.

Pairing St. Patrick's Day with Las Vegas already has the makings of an unforgettable holiday. If you can remember it. This year, St. P falls on a Saturday in the middle of March Madness. Aside from being face down outside a Dublin bar in a pool of what we hope is beer, we can't think of anywhere else we'd want to be this St. Patty's Day. On second thought -- March Madness opening weekend? Sorry, Dublin, you just fell to second place.
It's going to be hard not to stumble into a bit of the wearing o' the green and a bunch of drinkin o' the booze anywhere on the Strip. But, if you're a planner, there's plenty o' food and drink specials to pencil into your green itinerary. Just don't blame us if your tongue isn't the only green appendage
Sunday Monday morning.
Starting March 1, you might find folks crowding around the entrance to P.J. Clarke's inside Caesars Palace. Don't worry, it's not a bunch of men again, killing time while their lady friends go shopping. No, this time it will be because the restaurant and bar is putting up two Vespas for auction as part of their St. Patrick's Day celebrations.
Guests roaming the Forum Shops or dining at the restaurant can purchase a St. Patrick's Day/P.J. Clarke's branded t-shirt, which will automatically enter them in the Vespa raffle. Winners will be announced on March 18 and P.J. Clarke's will match all proceeds from the t-shirt sales to benefit the Three Square food bank.
While you hope the luck of the Irish is on your side in the raffle, you can down special St. Patrick's Day grub such as corned beef sandwiches ($15.20), corned beef and cabbaage ($18.84) and all the Guinness you can drink. Just don't get on your Vespa after drinking, though.

If the luck of the Irish will have you in Vegas next week for St. Patrick's Day, lady luck will make sure it's a holiday you'll
never forget, if you're up to the challenge. Restos, bars and lounges all around town are planning to party hard, and many early, in celebration of the Irish holiday.
At Mandalay Bay, Sin City's newest pub - actually a hodge-podge of old pubs from Ireland itself - will officially welcome its first patrons on March 17. (Although, a soft opening is expected to take place a few days before.) Ri Ra Pub will have 17 beers on tap, 85 bottled beers and 140 whiskey labels to choose from. With the country's only Guinness store located right next door, it only makes sense that bartenders will be Guinness-certified on how to pour the perfect pint which will be served at 40 degrees in a 20-ounce glass.
The pub is a treasure to explore and if you don't go beyond the first bar, you'll be missing out as we found out on a preview tour a few days ago. Wander into each of the pub's four rooms to see something interesting and unique whether it's a gorgeous stained glass mirror salvaged from Dublin's Olympia Theatre where U2, Johnny Cash and others played, or the pub's quaint parlor room that will make you feel like you're boozing it up in grandma's house.
With St. Patrick's Day falling on a Wednesday this year (lame!), folks will probably be donning their green garb along with "Kiss Me I'm Irish" pins, plastic green bowler hats, green beads, shamrock stickers and the like this weekend in order to celebrate.
Expected places for drunken Erin Go Bragh revelry? Any Irish pub on the Strip which can be found in nearly every casino on the Strip. And don't even get us started on O'Sheas.
Want to celebrate the luck o' the Irish with a little more class? Hit up the Fusion Mixology Bar at The Palazzo. The bar, always up for creating festive cocktails, has now created the Height of Folly ($10), a frothy drink served with Irish whiskey, Irish cream and some syrup.
Fer crissakes, we haven’t even made it through Valentine’s Day yet, and hotels and restaurants are already hawking St. Patrick’s Day. Okay, we’ll play along, but only because we like pints of Irish liquid love.
JW Marriott Las Vegas’ and its J.C. Wooloughan Irish Pub are taking the leprechaun-centric holiday to the extreme, turning the usual one day of blarney and pub revelry into a six-day party, running from Friday, March 12 through Wednesday, March 17.
The blarney and fun crank up with an Irish Happy Hour from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday with pints of the pride of Ireland (Guinness, Harp and Smithwick’s) just $3 each. The Wild Celts put everyone in the spirit with best of song starting at 8 p.m. to midnight both days and no cover charge.
