Food porn alert: we’re slightly obsessed with SushiSamba. We've eaten our way through the locations in New York, Miami and of course, here in Vegas at The Palazzo.

But we have to remind ourselves that the next time we pop in, to do it between the hours of 4 and 7pm, Sundays through Thursdays for Happy Hour. $5 mojitos. $5 caipirinhas. $4, $5 and $6 aperitivos, priced according to the hour you visit (so your salt and pepper squid costs a miniscule $4 if you get there first thing). Could it get any better?

Er, yes it could. From 11pm to 1am, they drop those cocktail prices down again. This could easily be our new obsession. Is rehab in our future for 2010? Quite possibly.

The SushiSamba Brand Turns Ten with a Big Party at the Palazzo's Outpost

Hard to believe it’s been ten years since yours truly spent New Year’s Eve at the first-ever SUSHISAMBA restaurant in New York City (man, what a way that was to ring in the new millennium).

To honor the brand’s diamond anniversary, SUSHISAMBA restaurants all over the world are throwing epic parties next week. SUSHISAMBA Strip, the Las Vegas outpost located inside the Palazzo, will host a killer bash on Nov. 18.

The night begins with a private party at 9 p.m.; public festivities start at 10:30 p.m.

Tonight, Sushi Samba is hosting what is being touted as the “ultimate contest of cocktails” – Muddle, Shake and Pour,, with The Palazzo

In the first round, contestants have fifteen minutes to create the perfect cocktail from a selection of ten fresh fruits and vegetables and Leblon ultra-premium cachaça. Five lucky contestants will make it to round 2, where they have twenty minutes to create a second cocktail from Leblon and fresh fruits and vegetables, but with the twist of one secret ingredient.
