The Vegas Twitterverse imploded earlier today with talk of the sudden closures of First, Rattlecan (pictured above) and The Act at Venetian/Palazzo. When the rumors settled, two of the three were accurate.
A spokesperson for First Food & Bar and Rattlecan, both concepts by Chef Sammy DeMarco, released this statement in response to the chatter:

Rio Chippendales dancers Jaymes Vaughan & James Davis just missed the $1 million prize on last night's season finale of the Amazing Race, finishing second to two goat farmers from Upstate New York (seriously). We certainly feel for them -- especially considering the duo was planning on donating some of the money to cancer research, but we are happy to report you have the chance to give them a kiss and make it all better.
The kissing booth at The Act inside Palazzo on Wednesday (Dec. 12) will feature "Kiss For A Cure," allowing people to plant one on them anywhere they choose (insert a sexy wink of the eye here). Your lips will thank you as will those struggling to survive one of America's deadliest diseases. All the money collected in the booth will go directly to Forget Cancer Now, a website set up by Vaughan to raise money to cover the expenses of his father's fight with cancer.
Vaughan said all along that he intended to use any prize money resulting from his participation on the Amazing Race to further cancer research and cover his father's expenses.
One year ago, rumors surfaced that the Palazzo was breaking with
staid tradition and bringing New York's bawdy burlesque-slash-vaudeville venue, The Box, to Vegas. Since then, little has been heard aside from rumors that it may be a more toned-down version and that it could possibly have a different name, too. Until now, dot, dot, dot.
Today, the The New York Post is reporting that The Box will bring The Act to Palazzo "near Halloween":
