Aww, yeah, baby! It’s the return of white truffle season and B&B Ristorante at the The Venetian is all over the expensive prized ingredient with its Regional Tasting Menu showcasing Piemonte.

Sure, autumn may mean braised meats, pumpkin, squash and fall spices to some, but for us it can only mean one thing – the almighty, earthy and utterly opulent white truffle. It’s blink-and-you-may-miss-it season runs a mere three to four months, not including travel time from the town of Alba in the region of Piemonte.

B&B Ristorante bows down to Piemonte and takes diners on a culinary tour de force with its regional tasting menu, only made better with the optional addition of 15 g of white truffle.

Phantom 'Phans' Descend on Venetian for The First-Ever Fan Week

Vegas has celebrity impersonator conventions, a Star Trek Convention, a Cher Convention and attracts thousands of Fanilows each year to the Las Vegas Hilton. So it makes perfect sense, of course, that a Vegas-based Phantom Fan Week was all but inevitable.

The LVRJ reported that 300 or so devotees of Frank Lloyd Weber’s dark melodrama were expected to converge on the Venetian beginning last Wednesday for a series of special events designed to stoke their Phantom obsession. Coming from as far away as Australia, the Phans came equipped with elaborate costumes in tow for the masquerade ball on Thursday night. It was organized to emulate one of the show’s more famous scenes and, presumably, to allow attendees a full immersion experience of sorts.
