Normally we’d rather quote from normal folk than slebs for our tweet of the weekend, but today we thought we’d use Pauly D (@DJPaulyD) from Jersey Shore – partly because he’s half normal folk, half sleb, but mainly because he summed up Vegas in one word:

Seeing as it was about the picture above, we can’t disagree with that. He already was given the key to the Playboy Club on Friday night. Guess we’ll be seeing him back soon, then.

As you’d know if you’d been following our Twitter feed on Saturday night, we decided to stump up the readies to spend a night with Mariah Carey. We weren’t disappointed by the concert, or the drunkest girl ever who, on leaving the Colosseum, fell down the stairs, broke her glass, belched loudly and then announced to the staircase “that’s what happens when you’re drunk”.
Personally, we weren’t disappointed by the journey out, either, since we’d parked at the Mirage and walked over to the Colosseum. But by the looks of Twitter, not everyone was as savvy as us. Take @itsAlexScott, for example:

Fatburger down opposite CityCenter. You know the one. We love that place. We once went in for a drink and got given a free meal by the man behind the counter because we looked so grim, even for Vegas.

We were walking soberly out of Caesars last night when we were accosted by two exceedingly drunk people asking us where Planet Hollywood was. We pointed them in the direction of the big sign saying “Planet Hollywood” but they didn’t quite believe us, and last we heard, they were slurring “let’s ask someone else”.

That rain last week – it didn’t half play havoc with your social plans, did it? The drowned rat look was doing nobody any favors, and snow-related plans on the I-15 buggered up the weekend frolics of at least two people we know.
So @Dinero562 - AKA Richard Finney from Long Beach - spoke for us all when he tweeted his relief on Saturday afternoon.

There’s a lot of pressure on getting trashed in Vegas, what with all the films and books you’re trying to live up to. There’s a fair bit of skill, too – overdo it early, and you’ll end up with Hangover-style memory loss, though it’s unlikely you’ll have done anything more exciting than been escorted to bed, alone, at 7pm.
So we understand @blueRAP’s spot of performance anxiety on Saturday night:

Our first Tweet of the Weekend comes courtesy of MacGruberGyver from Huntington Beach, who dropped in for a quick one on Saturday, staying at the Bellagio. He liked the bathroom. He partied late into the night.
And then he woke up at lunchtime on Sunday with the following tweet:
Vegas, thanks for letting me get fucked up last night, but not giving me a hangover this morning. Bellagio, thank you for the comfy bed.
