Wayne Brady Is Back At The Venetian, Making %@It Up

Finally! Wayne Brady is better (ahem), back at the Venetian and Making %@It Up again from tonight.

You’ve got a few dates to catch him: from tonight until Monday, then June 17-21, 24-28 and July 1-5. He’ll be improvising with Jonathan Mangum.

Performances start at 9pm and tickets start at $49 plus tax. A VIP package including the “once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet Brady after the show (WTF? Is he Barry Manilow or something?) costs $149. $149? Much as we like Wayno, at that price, we should have put on a chicken suit and nabbed him at Let’s Make a Deal for free.

Do You Have to Dress Up for 'Let's Make a Deal?'

Wayne Brady is taking a break from Making %@it Up and is currently hosting the new-old TV game show, Let's Make a Deal which is filmed at The Tropicana and airs on CBS at 9am (Las Vegas time!)

If you were a fan of the original game show in the 60s and 70s and grew up watching the reruns in the 80s, you could get excited by this new incarnation which is far less annoying that the new incarnation of "Price is Right" with Drew Carey. And attending the show could be a fun way to kill time during the day in Vegas.

The great news is that the tickets are completely free. Tapings occur twice a day, starting at 11am. The bad (or more good news depending on how much you love costumes) is that to be selected to participate in the deal-making with Wayne, you have to be dressed in costume.

Wayne Brady Ain't Making %@It Up This Month

If you were heading to the Venetian this fall and hoped to see Wayne Brady in his show "Making %@It Up!", you better have a backup plan. Wayne Brady has pulled out of his Venetian shows until November 12 due to vocal strain. The Las Vegas Sun reports:

Bowing to a schedule that put too great a demand on his already taxed voice, Brady has pulled out of every performance in October and early November at The Venetian Showroom for his regular music-and-improv gig, “Making It Up.” He’s out through Nov. 12; refunds are available through The Venetian box office (call direct, 414-9000).
