Beyonce To Make Nearly a Million Bucks a Show at Wynn?

According to sexiest male gossip columnist alive, Norm Clarke, word on the Strip is that Wynn Las Vegas is courting superstar Beyonce to do a longterm show. While we already find it shocking that Beyonce would consider setting up semi-permanent shop in Vegas, what's completely wild is the figure being thrown around for Beyonce's paycheck: $750,000 per show..

Now, this wouldn't be a six nights a week, double performances on Fridays and Saturdays kind of gig. It's probably something similar to Garth Brooks deal which is strictly weekend shows for month-long stretches. And we surmise that Queen B will fill in when Garth needs some time off.

Still, $750,000 a show? With a hefty paycheck like that, ticket prices are sure to be high and never discounted.

Beyonce Arrives in Sin City; Rates Jump at Wynn and Encore

Tonight is the first night of Beyonce's four-night concert extravaganza at the Encore and after a dismal second quarter profit report, the Wynn/Encore folks could certainly use some "Get Me Bodied" music.

Surprisingly, room rates are still very do-able tonight--$179 for Wynn and $199 for Encore (on Expedia.) Of course, Friday and Saturday are much, much, much higher--$442 for Wynn and $576 for Encore. As for getting tickets to the B-show, there are some limited seats available at a whopping $1,000 a piece. Interested? Tickets can be bought by calling (702) 770-DIVA (3482).

If you can't splurge for the tickets, just remember that Toad the Wet Sprocket will be performing absolutely free tonight at VooDoo Beach at The Rio.

Encore's Summer Shows Will Feature Whoopi, Beyonce and Um, Larry King

In a post-Danny Gans world, Encore owner Steve Wynn is depending on his famous friends to honor the late entertainer and provide some welcome laughter and variety.

It was announced yesterday that famed comedian and co-host of The View Whoopi Goldberg will be playing the 1,500-seat Encore Theater on May 22 and 23 at 8 p.m. Tickets are on sale for $79, $89 and $99 and are available on the Wynn website.

Also, coming up this summer is Sasha Fierce aka Beyonce who will perform four shows in the Encore Theater on July 30-Aug 2.
