Before You Pay Full Price, How To (Possibly) Save On That Cabana

When there's not a chair to be found poolside and a cabana will run you hundreds of dollars, what's a Vegas visitor to do?
VegasChatter fan Kingnormandy has a solution that could land you in that cabana after all and without having to spend all your cash on it, either:

Don't book a cabana in advance! Wait an hour or two by the pool get the lay of the land, then if a bunch are empty at 1PM go make an offer at the spa (where they are usually rented). This has worked at Excal(ibur), Flamingo, and Hard Rock. I paid $70 for a Cabana at Excal(ibur) two day in a row last summer, and got a huge discount with a group at Rehab on Sunday two years ago, so there are always opportunities. Obviously Saturday's are tougher, but if you wait it out, there are deals.

How Much That Poolside Cabana Costs

It's probably the most asked question after "are Vegas pools open?" How much does that shady seat or cabana cost?
A simple question, that's not always as easy to discover. A lot of resorts don't even like to quote starting rates as they can (and do) change based on demand, just like hotel rates. But, we give a lot of props to the hotels that do say because at least we have some idea of when to cut back on those tanning sessions what to expect.
So, how much is Vegas charging for pampered fun in the sun these days? Check out our list below, but keep in mind, the prices you find in person may appear larger than the ones on your screen.

Excuse Us, Your Bikini is Showing

We already knew that Marquee Dayclub at The Cosmopolitan was one of, if not the hottest pool party to hit up in Vegas this season. But this snapshot of the plunge pools that come with each of the eight cabanas is just awesome. (And no, it's not because of the ladies in them. Although, we can get how some of you might think that.)
Cabana rentals at Marquee are steep (like in the thousands), especially when there's a big celebrity visiting on the weekend, which there almost always is. So be prepared to split the cost amongst friends/random passerbys. If you aren't staying at the hotel but want to book a cabana anyways, you have to sign up for Cosmo's Identity program first.
As for actually swimming in the pool, well, you might not want to do that judging from this recent Yelp review. But you will want to dance!

Whatever You Do in Vegas, Don't Forget About Your Cabana Reservation

There are quite a lot of things to remember in Las Vegas--your wallet, your cellphone, your room key, your underwear, your dignity--but there's one thing you absolutely don't want to forget--your cabana reservation at the pool.
That's because if you don't show up, you will be charged 100 percent of the cabana fee. And considering that most cabanas start at around $150 and go way, way up, that's a lotta change to lose for nothing.
For instance at Paris Las Vegas, cabana rentals start at $399 per day on the weekends ($100 less during the week.) These tricked out tents provide misters, ceiling fans, lounge chairs, a dining table, sofa bed, refrigerators stocked with water, and other items like a complimentary newspaper and a raft. (Food and booze is, as always, extra.)
But if your friend has run off with a Chippendales (or Crazy Horse) dancer and you have your own hands full with an Elvis lookalike (male or female) in your hotel room, you will be charged the entire $399 if you don't show up.

Hide Away from the Pool Party Scene in a Cabana

Cabanas at the Hard Rock (taken on a Tuesday morning.)
It’s no secret that Las Vegas pools are great for sunbathing, people-watching and (naturally) getting drunk in a chaise lounge. The downside: the places can be dirty madhouses, especially when the pool party scene is in full effect.
But that's precisely what makes pool cabanas such a sensible choice. Though the pool party scene is winding down, these canvas "rooms" are still the ultimate choice for relaxing poolside. Besides, you didn't escape the cold weather

There Will Be Some Big Pimpin' Up In Mandalay Bay's Villa Soleil Cabanas
The Villa Soleil, the premier cabana offering at Mandalay Bay, will set you back anywhere from $900 on a weekday (Sunday-Thursday) to $1,600 on a holiday weekend, but some would say the “amenities” you get are priceless.
For starters, the villas are technically at Moorea Beach, Mandalay’s “European bathing,” adults-only pool area. That means their third-floor location (atop the poolside casino) offers a birds-eye view of Moorea’s topless bathing beauties down below. If, for some unimaginable reason, that's not enough to make you want to hand over next month's rent money, they also offer other perks like a 50-inch LCD TV, MP3 docking station, wet bar, private restroom, changing area and a private pool that’s shared with the other Villas Soleil.

What It Really Costs To Stay Dry at MGM Grand's Wet Republic

How do the hot girls in all the pictures at pool parties stay looking so hot in the extreme heat? Their makeup never smears from water, they're never sweaty, and they're in the hot desert sun the whole time.
Answer: they periodically go back to their shady cabanas and recharge with fresh drinks while they powder their noses.
If you're not into the whole sweating your makeup off at Vegas' hottest pool parties, it might be a good idea to invest in a cabana or bungalow so you can keep cool in the shade. Wet Republic, one of the top pool parties in Vegas at the MGM Grand, has cabanas, bungalows and day beds to choose from, and while they're pretty expensive, they come with amenities and a separate VIP pool and jacuzzi area. Something to think about when you're shelling out this much cash.

The LV Hilton's Spa Package is Good for Your Back and Your Wallet

If you're planning to hit Las Vegas this summer, the LV Hilton has your number: 189. For just $189, you can reserve a Spa Package between May 1 and September 30. The hotel has cheaper deals like the Summer Getaway Package which is just $135 for two nights deluxe accommodations, six buffets, two passes to the spa, and two welcome cocktails at Shimmer Cabaret. But we're kind of digging the Spa Package instead.
That's because you get the same two nights' accommodations, plus a $75 spa credit—so you can actually have a treatment instead of envying the robe-and-slipper-wearing crowd. And, they throw in:
·20% off your spa treatments
· $100 in "Dining Deals" coupons
· A $25 gaming chip
· Two cocktails at the Cabana Bar
· Special pool cabana rate: $20 for half a day and $40 for a full day. At that price, it might make sense to book the package just for the cabana deal!
To book, call (800) 457-3307 and use code ZSPA189.

The Excalibur May Have The Cheapest Cabanas in Las Vegas

Renting a cabana at one of Las Vegas’ hot hotels is the sun-splashed equivalent of a private table with bottle service at one of the city’s most coveted nightspots. Prices can be similar too. Some cabanas at the Palms’ Midsummer Night’s Dream party last August went for as much as $5,000, while Red Rock allows revelers to join together three cabanas to form a 20-person poolside party zone—for a hefty price.
Excalibur’s new cabanas offer a distinctly more affordable choice. Introduced last year as part of the hotel’s outdoor expansion, which doubled the size of the pool, the pool area has added a fire pit, sun decks, a separate private relaxation pool and a poolside restaurant, the appropriately named DRENCHED.

Palms Poolside Bungalows Deliver The Bikini-Clad To Your Door

The temperature in Vegas may not be South Beach balmy this time of year, but the sun shines reliably often enough that if you're from Canada, the UK or the Midwest, it'll seem like pool weather to you.
Indeed, most of the pools are open to resort guests beginning in early March, but the real poolside debauchery--at parties like the Palms’ “Ditch Fridays,” MGM’s Wet Republic dayclub and the Hard Rock’s infamous Rehab on Sundays--doesn't typically get going until May.
However, at the Palms Poolside Bungalows, the party can get started now with you and up to 40 of your closest pals.
