Sammy Hagar to Knock Back a Few at Cabo Wabo Tonight

Folks, we are just mere hours away from Sammy Hagar's pre-concert party at Cabo Wabo inside the Miracle Mile Shops. Can you deal?!?

Well, if you're not quite sure who Sammy Hagar is (attn: a certain British member of VegasChatter) or if you haven't really cared about Sammy Hagar since the early 90s, then we presume you are dealing just fine.

But for those of you who love rock and tequila, and we know there are a ton of you on the Strip right now at this very moment, you best get yourself to Cabo Wabo to see the former Van Halen frontman knock a few back. Doors open at 7pm but Sammy won't roll down the red carpet until about 8:30pm. He'll also be performing with Aerosmith tomorrow night at the MGM Grand Arena.

Don't care about Sammy or Aerosmith? Then at the very least, you can hit up Cabo Wabo on Monday for $1 Beers.

Thrown Down Your Dollar Bills! (For Beer, Not Strippers)

Man, Vegas makes it so easy for us to continue being alcoholics what with Nickel PBR nights at CityCenter and now $1 Beer Mondays at Cabo Wabo at The Miracle Mile shops.

Starting this Monday, guests can guzzle a variety of draft beers for only a dollar from 9 to 11pm. Appetizers, entrees and other food will still be full price but we think if the booze is $1 than you can certainly pony up for at least a quesadilla.

Just remember, please no drinking and driving. We don't want anyone at Cabo Wabo (or anywhere for that matter) pulling a Vince Neil.

Cabo Wabo to Open at Planet Hollywood Next Week

We’ve known for a while that Sammy Hagar’s Cabo Wabo cantina and tequila bar would take over the old Trader Vic’s spot in the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.

Now, we know when the new joint will open: next week.

Though spokesperson Leslie Thuet wouldn’t specify exactly when Hagar’s famous "tequileria" would say "Hola," in an email sent to us on Tuesday, she said, "We anticipate [it] to open near the end of next week."

The cantina and tequila bar will bring a markedly Mexican flare to the Center Strip; the original Cabo Wabo has existed for decades in downtown Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

Cabo Wabo Will Take Over Trader Vic's Spot in Planet Hollywood

Ch-ch-ch-changes keep on happening at Planet Hollywood. The resort has just announced today that Cabo Wabo, a Mexican cantina and Tequila bar from Van Halen's Sammy Hagar, will open in the old Trader Vic's location in the Miracle Mile Shops in the Fall.

Trader Vic's, which opened in 2007 when PH unveiled its transformation from the old Aladdin hotel had just closed last month.

No doubt construction will soon begin on the space to transform the interior from tiki-style to a Mexican spring break party joint. The cantina menu will probably be the same as the original Cabo San Lucas location and a second spot in Lake Tahoe, Nev. which consists of ceviches, quesadillas, fajitas, burritos and of course, lots and lots of tequila.

Also coming soon to PH? Pink's Hot Dogs and "Making the Band" star Aubrey O'Day who will do a stint in Peepshow.
