Should You Play the Field When it Comes to Casino Hosts?

May 27, 2015 at 2:27 PM | by | ()

It's time for another VegasChatter Question!

VegasChatter reader, Chris W, recently emailed us with a great question about casino hosts. Here's what he wants to know:

“Hello! I am an avid reader of the site, I check in two or three times a day to see if there are any new posts…I am an addict. Anyway, here is my Vegas question:

I play a decent amount when I am in town and I have committed myself to the MGM properties to get the best out of MLife. About two years ago, I got a direct email from a “Junior Host” at the Mirage offering me a free room, contact him if there is ever anything he can do for show tickets, meals, etc.

Since then however, I have received letters and mailers from the MGM, Bellagio and Aria from different marketing agents telling me to contact them for my free rooms, offers etc.

SO, do I stick with my first guy from the Mirage to book all of my stuff even if it is at a different hotel or should I contact the representative of the hotel that I want to stay? My contact at the Mirage is sure good to me and I want him to get his credit/bonus etc. for me coming to an MGM property if it applies. Please help me clarify this, thanks!”

MGM Resorts International and AEG broke ground almost exactly a year ago and they have hundreds of staff members working extra hard to meet the finish date deadline on time.

During a recent construction update, we were able to get a tour of the facilities (wearing hard hats, construction vests, and all. Serious stuff). The Las Vegas Arena is located behind New York New York and to the south of The Monte Carlo. But despite the heavy construction going on, the Arena is taking shape and looking good.
