This is not a complete listing of everything that's happening in Vegas this weekend so simma' down now. Remember, what happens in Vegas...should probably be shared with VegasChatter. XOXO.

On December 5, Derek Stevens, owner of The D and Golden Gate casinos in downtown Vegas, placed a $20,000 wager on the Michigan State Spartans to win the NCAA Basketball Championship at 50-1 odds. He placed the bet at the Golden Nugget. As March Madness comes to an end, Stevens stands to score one million if Michigan State can win their last two games.
On Saturday, April 4, Michigan State will play Duke at 3 p.m. (PT) in the first, national semifinal game. If the Spartans win, they will take on the winner of Kentucky vs. Wisconsin who play later that evening. The final game is scheduled for Monday, April 6 in Indianapolis.

When the cheesy title of a comedy show alone makes you laugh, itís safe to assume youíll at least be entertained. Ja-Makiní-Me-Laugh at The D certainly lived up to its corny name and did, indeed, make this writer laugh. All I knew going in was the show featured Matilda and Patrick Murray. Expecting a husband and wife comedy duo, this writer was quite surprised when I saw the promo materials featuring a puppet. In case you were also unaware, Matilda is Patrickís Jamaican ventriloquist dummy. Murray is a Second City-trained comedian, but of course, heís just the sidekick in this duo.
With her bedazzled dress, rhinestone-covered shoes and beaded hair, she could give any of Terry Fator's puppets a run for their money in the flashy Vegas outfit department. While not on the level of a Terry Fator show, itís definitely an entertaining way to spend the afternoon.

This morning, it was announced that an agreement had been reached with The D; although, its sister casino, Golden Gate, is still among a shrinking number of downtown casinos with expired union contracts. Also in that group:
Four Queens, Binion's, Plaza and Las Vegas Club... no one.

You have questions and we have answers! Timely answers,†at that. We were walking through The D the other day and were reminded that many casinos still offer free gaming lessons. This experienced gambler hasn't taken a gaming lesson in a while, but it's nice to see that casinos still offer this kind of education.
VegasChatter Reader Chris R. was wondering if this was still a thing... and where he might get a lesson on the†Vegas Strip:
