Where to Have A Fantasy Football Draft With Snoop Dogg
Geek Week continues! Next up, serious football fans can get their geek on in style.
It's almost time for football season again. In fact, it's back already if you count pre-season and that Brett Favre has already unretired and Tom Brady is still Bieber-fied. More importantly, it means football geeks everywhere are knee deep in draft strategies for the upcoming Fantasy Football season.

A Pool Party, In Togas, With Bunny Tails. Just Another Night in Vegas
Only in Vegas, eh? This was the scene in the Palms casino at the end of the Midsummer Night’s Dream orgy party on Saturday. We caught these two fine-looking chaps debating whether to grab a bite at Garduno’s or head on up to try their chances at the Playboy Club, although we're pretty sure if they hadn't managed to pull in the MND they had little hope of managing it upstairs.

However You Want It, Ludacris Will Give It To You at the Palms Pool

"And if you like in the club we can do it in the DJ booth or in the back of the V.I.P." A love song from Ludacris
As if the pool at The Palms needed another reason to get sexed up but here it is anyways--rapper Ludacris, who recently filmed a music video at the casino, will be performing a full-on concert on August 5.
Tickets are available on sale at the evil Ticketmaster for a reasonable price of $30.00. Then the inconvenient "convenience" fee of $10.15 is added for a grand total of $40.15. Not so bad for a top rapper in an intimate setting.
Wanna keep the cheesy sex party going? Book The Palms new Fire & Ice package, sponsored by Trojan condoms.

Not the 'Dream' Shakespeare Had in Mind But We Think He'd Like the Bodypaint

Once again the Midsummer Night's Sex Orgy Dream will return to The Palms Pool on August 14. The party is sort of a "sister act" to the annual party of held at the Playboy Mansion in L.A. and if you're keen to attend, there are two things you must do:
1. Plan your costume and mask in advance: People take this event pretty seriously. Think about it--some folks save up all their money all year long just to attend the event in Lil' Bo Peep outfits, mermaid costumes, pirate wench outfits or whatever the party's theme is. This year it's gods and goddesses so the least you can do is shear off a white silk bedsheet and tie it around your body.

The Palms Now Discounting Their Salon Suites

Looking for accommodations at The Palms that's somewhere in between $40,000 a night and $69 a night (with the possibility of a dark hair in the tub?) Then consider the Salon Suites.
The Palms has always been a deal during the week (we stayed in April for just $69 a night) but now they've begun discounting their Salons Suites midweek too. These suites have up to 800-sq.ft. of space with a separate living rooms, a stocked mini-bar, Bose sound system, 30" and 42" flat-screen TVs, jacuzzi tubs and king beds.
The Palms Salon Suite special must be booked for a minimum of three nights but it throws in the following perks:

NHL Skates Back Into Vegas This Week
Can you spot the fake hockey players?
Hockey returns to the Pearl at The Palms this Wednesday night for the 2010 NHL Awards. For the second year in a row, the NHL is ready to let loose and hand out some hardware after a long, hard season and some exciting playoff games.
Tickets for the event and after show pool party cost $304 but are sold out, including Stubhub (of course we checked). For hockey diehards without said tix, the awards red carpet begins at 3pm, so hanging around the Palms might net you some NHL stars and hockey loving celeb sightings.
We’d suggest getting a room to watch the awards show on Versus in between your stalking, but the hotel is sold out as well. Yes, this is a big event. So big, the Stanley Cup and Canadian TV sports show tapings have already been in Vegas this week.

Who Rents Out The Hugh Hefner Suite for $40,000 a Night?

Apparently, it's married folk from Baltimore.
In an article in the WSJ yesterday about the most expensive hotel suite outside of Vegas (that would be the Four Seasons New York), we learned who recently rented out the Hugh Hefner Suite at The Palms on May 2.
Johnna Magliano from Baltimore stayed in the country's most expensive suite...for her May 2 wedding. She and her husband said their vows next to the room's pool featuring a Playboy bunny symbol. They hosted their 110-person reception in the suite--which also includes a rotating bed and a 12-person whirlpool--and then stayed the night. (The $40,000 only covered the room. The party cost extra."
We sincerely hope that the newlyweds plan on loving the Playboy symbol for the rest of your life as there's no way to digitally remove that logo from all of the wedding pics.

Vegas Couldn't Handle All The Memorial Day Lovin'
No banana flavor?
Memorial Day weekend in Vegas came and went. While it’s not February, there was still plenty of love to go around with the Love Festival at the Palms and ummm… whatever this is.

Where To Find The 'Sex' Addicts In Vegas This Week
It has come to our attention that there’s a certain high profile film being released on Thursday. And if you’re not content to merely squawk and squeal over Carrie et al in the cinema, there are places you can continue without annoying the rest of Vegas too much. Not as many as we’d think (maybe they’d heard the rumblings about the film not being so good), but a few, nonetheless. Here’s where to sniff out your fellow Sex addicts.
* Wynn is holding a SATC2 Shopping Soiree of “cosmos, champagne and shopping” tomorrow from 5.30-7.30pm on the Wynn Esplanade, including ticket giveaways for a Town Square screening on Thursday. Expect things to be pretty – we’re told there's a Manolo display by the cashier cage with a shower of shoes (OMG wheeeeeeeee etc etc). RSVP to personalshopper@wynnlasvegas.com.

Oh CineVegas, Where Art Thou?
Since CineVegas announced last year that the city’s premier film festival would be taking at least a year off, we’ve had some time to come to terms with the news. But we still weren’t prepared to see CineVegas branded coffee sleeves proudly on display recently at Coffee Bean at the Palms.
Our first reaction was excitement the festival was back. After all, it would be normally coming up within the next month. But it wasn’t to be as the hiatus was still on and the coffee sleeves were leftovers from 2009. So unless business has been terribly slow at Coffee Bean, we’ll interpret these sleeves as a living tribute to CineVegas during its break.

A Vegas Tourist Of Good Taste: Conan O'Brien Disses Souvenir Drinks, Ed Hardy and Criss Angel
We were hoping that Conan O’Brien would come out with some nice Vegas observations during his show at the Pearl at The Palms this weekend, and we weren't disappointed.
Less standup, more variety show, the tour also brought a self-pleasuring panda (a new spin on a Conan bit) and a Philip Drummond cardboard cutout - inspiration for a song Conan is developing with fan input from each tour stop.

There Are Still Conan Tickets Going For This Weekend
It seems like only yesterday that Conan O’Brien announced his tour dates and we were thinking hmm, May 1, hope he brings his sunscreen.
And now the time has come (and sure enough, apart from today, desert is pretty hot right now). His shows are Saturday and Sunday, 9pm, at the Pearl in the Palms, and if, like us, you didn’t book your tickets because it seemed so far away, you’ll be relieved to know that there are still seats available for both nights.
Tickets start from $75, or $87, once you factor in the evil Ticketmaster processing fees. Book ‘em here.
