THEHotel for $125 During the Week Plus Some Freebies

Yes, it's true. If you're watching your budget but you still want to come to party in Vegas, you can always stay at the Luxor for $38 a night and the Excalibur for $22 a night. But really? Is that how you want to "do it up" in Sin City? Trust us, we spent the night at the Excalibur for $56 for the widescreen (aka renovated) rooms and we're pretty sure we don't want to go back.
DealBase.com currently has an offer for $125 a night for THEHotel At Mandalay Bay that includes all-day buffet dining for two, a cabana credit for a rental and 2-for-1 weekday entrances to Moorea Beach Club. The deal works best during the week and is based on a two-night stay. We found the $125 rates for next week, the week of November 8 and the week of November 22. Weekend rates jump up to about $200 a night except the weekend of October 23 and November 13th which hover around $400 bones a night.
With an intimate boutique hotel feel and lots of space, we think you'll like this place a heck of a lot more than a medieval-themed room at Excalibarf.

An Alternative for Housekeeping Cart Kleptomaniacs

An unsuspecting housekeeping cart lies in harm's way in the hallways of The Mirage.
OK, admit it. When you stay at a hotel with bath products you like, you totally raid the housekeeping carts. Nowadays, at least at a number of Las Vegas hotels, instead of breaking the law, you can go about procuring your favorite soaps and shampoos on the level: by buying them.
Many properties—especially those which have partnered with high-end vendors to create signature brands—sell larger versions of their in-room bath products at spas and on-site gift shops. Prices range from $9.99 to $23.99. Here’s a closer look at the highlights of Sin City’s signature bath products, and a rundown on where you can go to purchase some of the goodies to enjoy at home.

Hiding In Plain Sight: Hotels Within Hotels in Las Vegas
Shhh! We’re going to let you in on a little secret. Several of the Las Vegas hotels you know and love (and that we've written about here on VegasChatter) have separate facilities – an über-exclusive hotel within a hotel, if you will – that pony up private check-in, super-charged personal service, and amenities on steroids.
Wanna see Mamma Mia on a moments notice? Snag a highly-coveted reservation at Daniel Boulud Brasserie? Stay in smoke-free, non-gaming luxury? These high-end accommodations grant guests endless touches of cosseting, making couples wonder how they ever survived staying amongst the Hotels.com crowd.
Here are three of our favorite places to make the most of Sin City...in complete on-your-terms style.

Come On In, The Water's Fine: Divers Can Now Go Inside The Shark Reef

Guests of Mandalay Bay or THEhotel now have the chance to have close encounters of the toothsome kind while diving at Shark Reef.
We’ve always liked Shark Reef, which truthfully makes other aquariums look rangy and dilapidated by comparison. We recall a visit to one Florida aquarium (it shall remain nameless), even, that we couldn’t help comparing to Shark Reef, which seemed not only more modern, but also cleaner and more well tended than the other.
The four-hour Dive with the Sharks experience starts at 3 p.m. with a guided tour of Shark Reef Aquarium, during which participants (only two permitted at a time) learn about the attraction’s various marine and amphibious inhabitants, with special emphasis on shark health and behavior. Following the tour, participants get an orientation before it’s time to peel on their wetsuits and begin the 45-minute, underwater adventure.

Suite Life is Mandatory at THEhotel at Mandalay Bay

Before the all-suite sister towers, Palazzo and Encore sprung up alongside the Venetian and the Wynn, there was the all-suite THEhotel at Mandalay Bay. Back in 2003, it was the first large-scale hotel "addition" to an existing property to be introduced with its own separate brand and distinctive atmosphere.
