As the integral combination of hype and momentum continues to build in support of bringing a Major League Soccer franchise to Las Vegas, the city's most well-known resident rocker has already found a way to land a professional sports franchise here in Sin City.
Mötley Crüe frontman Vince Neil —a regular at the Red Rock sports book on Sundays during the NFL season — has been granted approval from Arena Football League officials to build a team in Las Vegas that will be ready to compete in time for the 2015 season, according to the Las Vegas Sun.

Lynyrd Skynyrd couldn't make it work, but maybe Mötley Crüe's frontman can.
We can't say it's surprising to see Vince Neil making headlines again in Vegas, but we were shocked to see that a Sin City hotel was just as
publicly fired up as he was. A twit spat between @TheVinceNeil and @Palms blew up the Interwebs last night and many are pointing to a recent tweet by Neil slamming the service at Little Buddha as the impetuous for the battle.
Things really heated up last night when Neil went on a twitpage, accusing Palms executives of "dishonesty" and warning guests away (read from the bottom up):

Motley Crüe's first rock 'n roll residency opened last Friday at The Joint inside the Hard Rock. The Crüe promised to transform the Hard Rock's casino floor into a carnival and influence its restaurant menus before delivering a Cirque meets rock show never before seen. Expectations were set for a mind-blowing epic performance for the ages. So which Cirque show did we witness on opening night: a LOVE-fest or an 'I can't Believe I spent money for that' crap-fest?
The carnival atmosphere didn't quite consume us entering the casino. Red bunting and Motley Crüe ads hung above the center bar while a couple clowns and stilt walkers posed for pictures near the Joint entrance. A handful of funhouse mirrors tossed in the Joint's hallway continued the underwhelming theme. The biggest pre-show circus turned out to be the line that stretched from the concert hall entry out past the Hart and Huntington tattoo shop less than thirty minutes before showtime.

The Hard Rock's gonna be Motley Crüe's Frankenstein beginning today when the Feelgood hands of doctors Neil, Lee, Sixx, and Mars launch their much anticipated three week residency. The band is known for their over-the-top live shows anyhow, but the Crue is kicking it up a hundred notches for The Joint.
Not many intimate details about the actual show have been released to date other than that fans should expect a full-blown Cirque meets rock concert. Band members have hinted at transforming every inch of the Joint into performance space rather than being limited to playing the stage at one end. We're picturing Tommy Lee banging away above us, below us, and to both sides of us. In an interview with the Las Vegas Sun, Vince Neil revealed more elements of the two hour show: pyrotechnics, aerialists,
strippers dancers, wild video displays, a rollercoaster drum set and Little Crüe.

Just when you thought it was safe to put your slashed, skintight, yellow leather (ok, pleather) pants back in the closet comes word that Motley Crue is doing a mini-residency at the Hard Rock Las Vegas starting February 3rd. And while lead singer Vince Neil has been prowling around town for a while on his own, this time the whole band is getting back together. Yes, Tommy Lee, too.
Yet, lest you were hanging your hopes that the Crue would give a rocking old school rock concert, think again. This time around, they are looking to Cirque du Soleil for inspiration. Neil told the LA Times:
"“This show is going to be more towards the Cirque-type, over-the-top, full-production thing,” Neil said in a conference call to announce the series. “We’re really not interested in just going out there and playing songs. We want to make a full-blown interactive [show].”

Who cares about room and food comps when you can name a cute, adorable baby dolphin? Ok, us, but M Life wants to remind us that this is one players club that gives you things you never thought to ask for before, and maybe still don't want.
Today, The Mirage announced that a newly born dolphin calf has been named by M Lifer Mike Mendez of Scottsdale. He and the wife have dubbed the bambino "K2" after K2 Adventures, an Arizona foundation that gives money to children and families with special needs. Double awww...
The former Motley Crue frontman told a Las Vegas judge this morning that he was guilty of driving his Lambo drunk last summer. In return, the judge told him he'd have to spend 15 days in jail starting Tuesday, February 15. (We can only hope his Valentine's mi amour gives him some
thing memories to remember during those long days in the big house.)
We've not fully recovered from the hypocrisy of having Vegas headliner and veteran performer Donny Osmond win last year's "Dancing with Stars" but our faith in celebrity reality show competitions may be bolstered by the new competitor line-up for Skating with The Stars (Yes, figure skating.)
The show works much like "Dancing" except the celebs are paired with pro skaters to do pairs figure skating. And this time representing Vegas is everyone's favorite Tequila Claus, Vince Neil.
The Motley Crue lead singer may have failed a sobriety test back in June but he's determined to glide on ice and wow everyone with his figure eights. Just don't ask him to touch his nose while he's doing it though!
The show premieres on November 22 at 9pm on ABC. Viewing parties at Vince Neil's Tres Rios restaurant at the Las Vegas Hilton are MANDATORY!

While waiting for the real pics of the Paris arrest to filter out over the weekend we got to thinking about other celebs that have gotten themselves into Vegas trouble. Surprisingly there haven’t been as many monumental meltdowns as we’d
There are still plenty enough to come up with our top five Vegas celeb arrests:
Vince Neil, former Motley Crue frontman and aspiring mogul for the "Tattoos and Tequila" lifestyle, was arrested last night in Vegas for a DUI. He was taken to the Clark County Jail where TMZ promptly snapped a mugshot. Er, we mean the officers did. He's currently in custody pending $2,000 bail. (Um, hello people? Vince Neil is sitting in jail still! Has someone not come to get him?)
What this means for his new restaurant, Tres Rios at the Las Vegas Hilton, we don't know. But if he's looking to do some damage control--Vince already did a brief stint in jail in the mid-80s after another drunk driving incident killed a fellow rocker--maybe he could offer a free Designated Drivers service at his restaurant on weekends.

Only in Vegas could there be a way to get drunk off Vince Neil tequila before getting tattooed at a Vince Neil tattoo parlor. That's right. The Motley Crue frontman is opening his Tres Rios Cantina at the Las Vegas Hilton this Saturday.
Vegas Deluxe reports the tequila bar will feature Neil's own brand of tequila, Tres Rios, and "memorabilia and photographs from his extensive collection of awards, costumes and instruments from his storied career." We're actually more excited about the bar's two daily happy hours which serve half-priced appetizers, Mexican beers and house margaritas from 2 to 5pm and then again from 9 to 11pm.
