Conan and Tracy Morgan Want You To Get Your Vegas Laugh On
It’s been exactly a week since Conan O’Brien announced his Legally Prohibited From Being Funny on Television tour, so we’re pleased to see that although some venues have sold out, the Vegas leg still has seats available – including the cheap ones. We say “cheap” – we mean “relatively cheap” – they start at $75, and go up to $150. Book them here.
Last Friday, they added another show at the Palms, so you can now choose between Saturday May 1 or Sunday May 2. Both start at 9pm, so there’s plenty of time to fit in your May Day drinking around them.

Rio's Text Offers Work, Surprisingly, Only By Text
We haven’t always been the biggest fans of the Rio, but we were sufficiently impressed by its $50 rate for last Friday night that we booked a room. We’ll tell you how the stay went another time; for now, we’re going to give you a warning about the text offers.
We desperately wanted to bag another $5.99 buffet and were planning to text in to get the offers rolling again, but then as part of the booking process, we were asked to enter our phone number, on the basis that we’d automatically be sent texts “beginning the day you check in” for the duration of our stay.

Someone Has Defiled the Chippendales, And Not in a Good Way
What sacrilege is this? We were passing through the Rio recently when we noticed that someone had ruined our daily fix of hotness on the Chippendales wall leading out to the car park.
Not only that, but of all the men they could have chosen to deface (we for one would have been cheering them on if they’d done this to the nipple-ringed hair flicker that is Jace, our abuser), they did it to the most harmless of the gang: sweet little James.

Tweet of the Weekend: When Pauly D Met Holly M
Many people got trashed in Vegas this weekend, and lots of them told the world about it. So, every Monday we’re bringing you our favourite tweet of the weekend. And don’t forget to follow us at @vegaschatter.
Normally we’d rather quote from normal folk than slebs for our tweet of the weekend, but today we thought we’d use Pauly D (@DJPaulyD) from Jersey Shore – partly because he’s half normal folk, half sleb, but mainly because he summed up Vegas in one word:
Yesiiiiiirrrr!!!!!
Seeing as it was about the picture above, we can’t disagree with that. He already was given the key to the Playboy Club on Friday night. Guess we’ll be seeing him back soon, then.

Rio Is Spoiling Us Now With $45 Rates For Twitter Followers Till June
How naughty is the Rio? We thought its $50 room deal was good enough, but turns out they’ve been hiding something from us: $45 rooms, available till the end of June (the $50 ones run out next month).
The Insider Rates deal is only open to their Twitter followers (they flagged it up yesterday) and has some weekday rooms available for $45, and weekends for $60. The weekend deal isn’t so great – there are a couple of $75s in there but the first $60 deal is for May 7 – but there are puhlenty of $45s going, even on a Thursday night.

The Rio Has Rooms For $50 Until the End of April
It feels like only yesterday that we were praising the Rio’s 20th anniversary deal of rooms for $20pp. We thought that would be a fluke rate, but in fact, they’re also running a $50 room rate deal at the moment, as they flagged up on Twitter yesterday.

A Day in the Life of a Chippendale (Plus What the Show's Actually Like)
Insert your own fantasy scenario here
It’s been nearly two weeks since we saw the Chippendales at their 3000th show, and now that we’ve had time to shrug off our mortification at being touched up and having nipple rings thrust in our face, we’re ready for the review.
But first, the interview. Want to know what a day in the life of a Chippendale is like? Or the surefire Chippendale way to attract the laydees? Click here for our rather flustered video chat with Chip Nathan and Chip Jason – or, as they describe themselves, “GQ” Nathan and “Bad Boy” Jace.
Three things we should point out before we go: first, FYI, we saw the show along with other journos at the invitation of the Chips. Second, because of this, we saw it in less than ideal circumstances – ie sober, on our lonesome and therefore mortified at the idea that the rest of the audience would think we had gone to see the Chippendales by ourselves. Third, in our personal opinion, there’s nothing less sexy than someone thrusting their sexiness upon you. So we knew from the start that these dudes would not be our type.

Looks Like Buzios Forgot to Put Anything In Their Fish Tank
What’s this we spy here? An empty water tank drawing attention to the plight of the over-fished oceans?
Um, no. It’s the scene outside Buzios Seafood Restaurant at the Rio.
Not that we want to knock the Rio (again), but normally, when there’s a tank full of water outside a fish restaurant, we assume that tank is going to be full of lobsters or crab or something to entice you in. Not this scene of nihilism.
Still, it was about 9pm on Sunday night when we took this, so maybe they’d had a busy night, what with all their two-for-one entree deals, and sold out all the lobster. Yes, maybe.

How Many Chippendales Does it Take to Carry a (Beef) Cake?
You know those jokes, how many drunkards/feminists/Irishmen does it take to change a lightbulb? Well last night we found ourselves doing a variation on the theme: how many Chippendales does it take to arrange a cake? The answer, as you can see from this video, is five. Two to lift it onto the table, arrange it, and prop it up on a towel, and three to flex their pecs in the background and fist-bump the lifters.

What Does $5.99 Get You At the Rio's Breakfast Buffet?
We heart Isidra
We’re suckers for a bargain, and as we told you yesterday, we signed up to receive texts from the Rio in the hope of saving some dosh. We weren’t overwhelmed by all the offers, but the one that really took our fancy was the chance to try a breakfast at the Carnival World Buffet for only $5.99 (normal price $14.99). Including tax, our total was $6.48.
So on Tuesday we cashed in our voucher, paid up our moneys and entered the buffet. For that price, we were fearing the worst.

Chippendales are 3000 Performances Down, Celebrating Tomorrow
UPDATE: Apologies to the Chippendales, we sold them short. They'll actually be celebrating with a cake (perhaps a giant one, that the hot bods jump out from), and a mini party/gathering with the audience after the show.
We don’t want to go overkill on the sexy ladies today, what with the Sports Illustrated gallery we’ve got coming up, so being equal opportunists, we thought we’d redress the balance by pointing out that it’s the Chippendales’ 3000th performance tomorrow at the Rio (sorry, Rio overload today as well, we know).
There aren’t any special ticket prices or anything (boo), but the boys will be in a celebratory mood, so you possibly have more chance of getting felt up by them, seeing a bit more flesh (who knows, they might take their collars off), or just enjoying their, um, special day with them.

Is it Worth Signing Up For Rio's Text Offers?
We were perusing the Harrah’s blog the other day when we came across this post about the text offers the Rio is doing at the moment. Seeing as the last time we wrote about the Rio we were on a bit of a downer, we thought we’d give it a chance to rehabilitate itself. Were these text offers as good as the folk at Harrah’s said they were?
So we texted “Rio” to 227466 as we were told to, and the offers started rolling in. Over three days, we got seven offers sent our way.
