The Trop Wants You To Party Hard: 10 Days For $999

Ooh, the Trop is going from strength to strength at the moment and it keeps pumping out awesome deals. In fact, we kinda wish the renovations would never end, as we’re pretty sure they’ll raise the rates once the works are completed.

The latest deal they’re offering is something we’ve never seen before: the Trop Party Pass, bookable from now until September 14. You pay $999 plus tax up front, and in return you get 10 nights in a revamped, Strip-view room – $9.99 resort fee included - plus a VIP check in.

You don’t have to spend the 10 nights consecutively, and you don’t have to stick to one room, either – you can use your allowance up over multiple rooms (hence they’re selling it as a bachelor party/girly weekend deal). Best of all, there are no black out dates - you simply have to use it up by December 28.

We Spy Boobies From The Palace Tower At Caesars

Recently, a Brit colleague of ours came to Vegas with his girlfriend. They stayed at Caesars, and had a lovely time. Apart from, as he tells everyone who will listen to him, the moment they “tried to charge me $20 to see my girlfriend’s boobs”.

Yes, his girlfriend had gone to the Garden of the Gods, whipped off her top as the Europeans are wont to do, and was promptly squirreled away in the Venus Pool Club by anxious staff. And when he came out to join her for a spot of sunbathing, the same staff tried to charge him $20 to get in. As anyone who has ever spoken to him about Vegas will know, he has never forgiven Caesars for treating him, as he sees it, “like a virgin who lives in my mum’s basement.”

So we thought of our colleague as we did a little room tour of Caesars recently and copped a spectacular view of the Venus pool from a room in the Palace Tower. It was totally free, and there was nothing (apart from our sense of propriety) to stop us from using a zoom lense to get a better look at the jubblies on display down below. Of course, inside Venus, there are no cameras allowed, so this is a better bet for souvenir hunting.

Confirmed: Cy Waits is Out of the Wynn Fold, Paris Hilton May Be Banned

So it’s finally confirmed: Wynn released a statement at 10am this morning saying that Cy Waits is out:

Cy Waits has been separated from the company and is free to pursue other interests. Wynn has no further comment on this matter.

Short and sweet. Wow!

Meanwhile the great Norm Clarke in the sky reckons that Paris Hilton could be banned from Wynn and Encore and that Jesse Waits will continue as a general partner in charge of nightclub ops (we too would ditch sibling loyalty in the face of Paris Hilton).

We’re thinking that if Wynn has taken this action so soon, the case against them must be pretty open and shut. Unless, of course, the company is worried about Paris getting chewing gum stuck all over the nice carpet.

Next stop – banning her from Vegas? It doesn’t sound that unlikely, according to People, which reckons she’s unbookable as a club host right now. See, children? Dreams do come true. Bye girlfriend!

September Means New Hours at EBC But Clear Heels Are All-Seasons

We know that you still have a few more days left in your rigorous GTL schedule before the summer ends but we think you ought to prepare for the inevitably wind-down of Vegas Pool Parties, starting with the Encore Beach Club.

The pool and its Surrender nightclub have announced new Fall hours will go into effect today:

Encore Beach Club: Friday through Sunday 11 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Surrender Nightclub: Wednesday through Saturday, 10 p.m. – closing.

Don't Get Too Excited When the Check Comes at Max Brenner

While you’re in the mood for food, thinking about Restaurant Week, our minds drifted to the nice brunch we had at Max Brenner the other week. Specifically, the surprise that you get when it’s time to pay.

When we asked for the check, it was presented in a pretty tin box saying “money for life, chocolate for the soul”. The inhabitants of our table promptly got all excited that Max was slipping us some chocolate with the bill, but alas, no, it was just the check.

To be fair, you’ll probably have consumed so much chocolate as part of the meal that an extra choccy drop with the bill could actually push you over the edge.

Move on, people.

Is This The End of Paris Hilton for Las Vegas (We Hope So!)

UPDATE: Looks like Cy Waits has been fired from XS and Tryst thanks to this arrest. No word on whether his twin bro Jesse will remain. Anyone with inside scoop? Be kind and drop us a line.

Remember yesterday when we fervently wished that Paris Hilton would keep her visits to Las Vegas to a minimum? It looks like someone was listening to our prayers because the party girl was arrested last night for cocaine.

Police say Paris was in a car driven by a "friend" that was pulled over when officers noticed marijuana smoke coming from the car. During the stop the officers found cocaine on Paris and promptly booked her into the Clark County Detention Center around 2am. TMZ reported that her boyfriend Cy Waits was arrested as well for a DUI and that the arrest happened outside Wynn. Not good at all for one of the men who run Wynn's hottest nightclubs, XS and Tryst.

Chemical Leak Forces Evacuation at MGM Grand's Pool Area

As summer winds down in Las Vegas, the pool scene drama is heating up. About 100 people are being treated for breathing difficulties at the MGM Grand this afternoon after a chemical leak erupted at the pool. Twenty-six people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The Las Vegas Sun reports:

MGM Resorts International spokesman Gordon Asher said the fumes were caused by an injector valve on the chlorination system stuck in the “on” position at the MGM Grand pool. The valve was immediately closed when noticed, Absher said. Brenner said the leak appeared to be the result of an equipment failure as opposed to human error.

Don't Get Too Whiny Outside XS Because Cy Waits is Packing Heat

Hate that long-ass line outside XS? You might want to rethink about complaining at the door as club guy Cy Waits is apparently packing heat.

Waits, who is currently making the biggest mistake of his life dating Paris Hilton, apparently tried to fend off a burglar at Hilton's house in LA the other day by brandishing his gun. TMZ reports:

We're told Cy claims he spotted Nathan Parada peering through a window and carrying two knives -- a large kitchen knife and a buck hunting knife. Cy immediately went outside -- with his weapon drawn -- and ordered Parada to drop the knives and lay on his stomach. We're told Cy kept his gun pointed at Parada until cops arrived.

Bridget and Brody are Ruling the Strip This Weekend

there are only two places you need to be this weekend: at Tao tonight for Brody Jenner’s birthday party and tomorrow afternoon at Azure for Bridget Marquardt’s snowballs.

Brody will be celebrating his 27 years on the planet tonight, while tomorrow, Bridget will cool down Azure with snow machines, ice sculptures and luges, ice cube shots and alcoholic sno cones (oddly similar to the Blizzard on the Beach at Tao Beach today). Because she’s that hot, the place will need it, obviously. Wonder if Holly Madison will pop over to say hello?
